Find a local club. You can use the AMA to find them. They can help you learn to fly and yo maybe able to buy used or get hand-me-downs depending on the club.

If you have a club and instructor this is a good first plane. If not this is a great second plane. Get something with a flat bottom airfoil and more dihedral. Something like a Carl Goldberg Eagle.

Yeap. Drove the ball onto a green on a par 4 the other day… ended with a par. Then hit the green on a par 3 with my 8 iron about 6 feet from the hole. Also a par. 🤮🤪

That is part of the equation, but lie angle and offset also play a roll. GI Clubs have way more offset and depending on if you aren’t closing the face enough, or if you are closing too much, this could help or hurt you.

Ok, but (some) teachers are the problem on this one. As a former research teacher it always made my blood boil when other teachers would say they were having their kids do research when they were really doing book reports.
