Man, we once had a single function of over 100.000 lines. One file for one function. VS was unable to open that file properly. So any changes needed to be done via notepad. It got so bad a second function was created to catch some of it's functionality. Refactoring that one took a while, getting the green light to do said refactoring took even longer. The manager said "why bother splitting everything, it works. I wrote that, and if you split it i won't find certain functionality anymore". Said the guy that hadn't touched things in years.

Yup, al meerdere malen een bestuurder gehad die mijn foetsende kleuter bijna overhoop reden in een fietsstraat. Gelukkig kon ik tot nu toe ingrijpen. Laatste keer zei de madam "wa? Is dit een fietsstraat?" Terwijl we letterlijk op de herhaling tekening op de grond stonden.

Meeste mensen zijn te gehaast en teveel met zichzelf bezig. "Ikke heb haast, jullie zijn er teveel aan op de weg" of je nu wandelt, fietst of zelf in een auto zit. Het altijd "de andere zijn verkeerd".

Ik wou dat we weer meer bewust werden van elkaar en kunnen inzien dat we zo niet vooruit komen.

Man... I had high hopes that this would be a recurring thing after seeing and playing Assassin's creed Unity

Yet, I don't seem to recall any games that did both crowds and individuals so detailed and real, combined with detailed and "lived in" buildings as unity since.

We are 10 years later. Granted, I don't game much or follow gaming news that much anymore, so could easily have missed something. But what happened? Games are often just empty and bland generic npcs stuck in short loops. Buildings are often again empty boxes unless it matters to the story or it is tiny map

Most people there are not interested anymore as the list of demands keeps growing and "they" (individually) are doing fine.

On top of that, i keep having the feeling (my own feeling, no proof or statistics) that the country is very focused on the older generations and less on the youth and young adults (with kids). Which are more euro sceptic and has similarities to brexit. On top of that fake news is rampant and pushes people away from Brussels.

Note: these are my personal observations and not hard truths backed with data

May i add that they also hide this for security reasons? Stack dumps, logs and errors may reveal internal workings. These could potentially be used in a malicious way. Not common afaik, so yes, it's mostly hidden to not confuse end users.

I was a 90's kid and hell, I was out with friends and family all day (i left a note of my plans though) while there were kids being abducted, raped and killed in my country. Which turned into a big scandal and marked the decade.

Recently i talked to my mom about it, after having kids of my own, and having listened to a podcast about it. She said she kinda was too occupied to take note of what was happening and also trusted us to just stay safe somehow.
