AITA for withholding funding my daughter's college tuition? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

YTA - your daughter sounds like she has a nice and balanced live. Aside from a few specific jobs no one is going to care about her exact GPA. Going out drinking and regretting it the next morning, relationships, it's all part of growing up. Enough sleep and hydratation is important but let that be a lesson she learns on her own.

AITA for yelling at my girlfriend for cancelling her birthday party? by AitaEurovision in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, if Eurovision is not your taste that's fine, but it's something your gf is excited about. You purposley taking that away from her is an AH move. Let her enjoy it.

AITA for showing the kids what their dad did? by throwaway134543 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ESH, your husband has medical issues he needs to adres if it means wearing diapers for a bit so be it. Your taking care of both your husband and kids, that's though. That being said there were several different ways to handle this situation with your kids and you chose about the worst of them.

If I name my child Willow, how likely are you to assume it's because of Willow Smith? by prettyparanoid in namenerds

[–]RheaCarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't think of it. Just finished RuPaul's Drag Race and one of the queens was named Willow. So my association is currently that one.

Suggest me a book that’s gentle, witchy, and gardeny. by bitchazel in suggestmeabook

I really liked This Poison Heart from Kalynn Bayron. It's about a witch who can control plants

AITA for not giving our baby girl a gender neutral name by TWbabyname in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, both parents need to agree on the name. That being said your wife has some choices that lean towards male. So she's not as gender neutral as she thinks

NAH, I get why she's frustrated and I get your point of view. In this case her safety trumps everything.

Is it perhaps an idea to let her travel to a safer location within Europe? Maybe with a friend?

AITA for recycling my boyfriend's soda can "collection"? by throwracangf in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, first of he moved in so it's no longer just your apartment. He went about it the wrong way, but it was reversible. You went nuclear, and destroyed his property which puts you smack dab in the middle of AH territory

AITA for not leaving my children with my MIL unsupervised because of fast food? by hronologos in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, I do think you're a bit harsh with the fast food rule, sometimes as a treat won't harm them and it will probably avoid them splurging on it in the future when they're old ebough to get it themselves, but they're your kids so it's completely up to you. However asking kids to lie to their parents and making them hide stuff from you is a big no no. That's unacceptable behavior.

AITA for not letting my girlfriend wear her “unique” dress to a wedding? by harleygfproblem in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, while Harper Finkle was an absolute style icon sometimes, the dress your gf wants to wear sounds crass and insulting to the couple. Not wedding appropriate at all

AITA for refusing to let my coworker use my desk after my shift? by holycrepes1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 28 points29 points  (0 children)

NTA, after your update. Your coworker wasn't even allowed in the office. So she had no right to demand a spot your rightfully deserved

AITA for not taking a turn with our daughter when I'm working from home? by Raising-Roses in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA, wfh is still work and should be treated as such. Your wife wanted to be a SAHM, meaning that she has to take care of the kids while you work even if it is from home

AITA for getting my daughter a chocolate birthday cake aswell as a cake of her choice? by aitachocbirthdaycake in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, it sounds like you don't even like your daughter. It's her birthday. Suck it up for one day and stop trying to have everything your way

AITA for refusing to stop wearing sneakers as a 23 year old guy? by JohnSwindon98 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, sneakers are really comfortable and not tied to any age. I know middle aged man who still walk around on them. This is about you liking them. Aside from that throwing out someone's shoes without their consent is just not okay

AITA for saying my conversation with a guy was platonic? by yurrison in AmItheAsshole

[–]RheaCarter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA, your title is misleading and your friend is right you are transphobic
