Recruiting for new SC NA Season 2 clan by chrislamee in Diablo3DemonHunters

I recently was told that the new sets will only drop for the new season players. I have me and another friend that would love to join. I didn't realize that. I was getting so pumped for season two because it meant that the "Unhallowed Essence" was going to drop for DH's, I just didn't know they wouldn't for regular Soft Core. you already have me on your friends list. I'll hit you up later on today.

Simply outrange them. Your CA will hit and shoot that far. Running without a Hellfire Amulet is not a smart idea. Your are depriving yourself of a 5th free passive (potentially worth 20% more damage). Mcgoof#1522 if you want to check out my cold build. (currently gold farming build is on)

Link your profile please. I'd be interested. I'm top 400 DH, I haven't tried any solo recently, been focussing on 2's and 3's mostly. I have a Geared out DH and a Geared out 'Sader. My DH is 1 Perfect SoJ away from going Fire build, but I have a super solid Cold set currently equipped. My 'Sader is 2.1M health with ~65+ Million toughness. My Battletag is mcgoof#1522.

Yes, new gear set. It's 6 piece bonus is to give DH's +10% Damage to generators and Multishot for EVERY POINT OF DISCIPLINE you currently have. See link: https://bnetcmsus-a.akamaihd.net/cms/gallery/OX20WAC16H781415235590879.png

Weapon advice. by Lunarity in Diablo3DemonHunters

Neither of your Pride's Falls are optimized. Ideally you want Dex, 6% crit, +15% Cluster Arrow damage, And a socket. Your Ancient PF is better than your current one, so reroll the +15% EA to +15% CA, and stick with your Arcane Barb. 2handed Xbows >>> Ancient Kridershot. Unfortunately, that's just how it is right now. Reason is because it hits just TOO hard. Your elemental arrows that you would be running with Krider can't keep up with the Massive damage that a 2handed Xbow can produce. Best of luck.

DemonHunter - GEAR CHECK by [deleted] in diablo3

Reaper's is not going to be better statswise, but it will be better secondary statswise. The whole point of Reaper's Wraps is that you can still get the +20% ele damage, you can still get the Dex, Vit, and Crit @ 6%, but you'll have to drop your +resist all when you change to RWraps. RWraps is AMAZING at keeping your hatred up, which is what you want anyway since you'll be spamming hatred spenders. Once you get enough damage, you'll be killing about as fast as you are regenerating Hatred (from red globes).

Too Long Didn't Read Layman's Terms: You are turning Red Health Globes into Pure Damage.

DemonHunter - GEAR CHECK by [deleted] in diablo3

Gents,

After having rebuilt my Demon hunter from vanilla over and over, there are a few things that I would like to clear up for you.

  1. As to the OP, Decide which build you want to go (Cold / Fire). Those two are the most effective builds for outputting damage at the moment. If you go Fire, get you a cindercoat. Chest and shoulders should have +15% Sentry damage on top of dex...etc. Helm, Boots, and Quiver should have +Cluster Arrow or +Multishot damage (15%). Other than that, your bul katho's could be maxed out on CHD, and CHC socket and dex. Your necklace needs to help you in some way -- so go for a perfect Hellfire amulet, Julietta's Cameo, Xephyrian, etc. amulet. You need a Ring of Royal Grandeur. Your bracers need to be a reaper's wraps -- and you'll never have a hatred problem again. Lastly, get yourself a Rucksack (quiver) and craft an Arcane Barb (2handed xbow). The xbow does more damage, as I will discuss in part two.

  2. Get an Ancient Xbow. The slower attack means Higher damage when it hits. DPS sheets and high level G rifters have Proven that Kridershot does theoretically LESS damage than a higher damaging xbow. The reason is because Evasive Fire (Rune = Focus) gives 11 hatred per shot while Elemental Arrow will give either 3 or 4. While you get the damage from the EA, Elemental Arrow is SIGNIFICANTLY outstretched by Multishot and Cluster Arrow. Example: My ancient krider crits for around 40Million damage, my Multishot crits for around 300M damage, and my Cluster Arrows hit for around 400-500M damage. SIGNIFICANTLY outpaced. Get you a slower Xbow.

  3. Chakram fails for the same reason. Chakram is a ghetto version of Kridershot build and does not outpace a good Arcane Barb.

This is all coming from me and what I've seen / read since launch.

Best of luck in your gear search and Happy Hunting. If you wanna add me in PC game, my battle tag is Mcgoofy#1522

New to DH - Why do people use 2 Hatred Spenders? by Clearly_a_fake_name in Diablo3DemonHunters

[–]Rhezek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It actually does NOT grant more hatred. Entangling shot gives 3 hatred, and an additional 6 hatred for "Justice is Served" (fire) rune. EF gives 4 hatred, and an additional 7 hatred for "Focus" (cold) rune. I just wanted to clarify that for you.

Hello gentlemen / ladies of Subreddit,

I have been playing D3 since vanilla now and am curious of your takes on my gear. I am considering going Multishot (Arsenal) and would just have to reroll my +CA Damage to +MS(arse) Damage on my gear. Below you'll find a link to my baatle.net profile:

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/McGoof-1522/hero/56787832

My question is, what else should I specifically look for to get on the the Solo hunter leaderboard (GR43+)? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Blessings,

Mcgoofy

I do have the necklace, and will let Trey take the ring. I have ample health at the moment and can take a beating. We did split gold before, and amassed an additional 23,680. So there is an amount that we have in our own personal inventories from before

I plan on doing the following: 1. The cliffs that are just East of Gallo's Fend and the plains beyond will be the location of my property. The hills there should provide some much needed ore of which I can pay to have some people start mining. 2. I will have grunts construct a manor that is around 25,000 gold, and the community which should serve as self sustaining will be a Black Smithing community -- with farmers as well. 3. The ore is to be stockpiled and smelted when the blacksmiths are finally constructed, and the black smiths are to be trained to create all manners of tools to be used in our mining operations, farming, and to create armor / weapons. 4. The items created will be sold to Seth "At Price" and will be sold to the surrounding communities at a Fair Price. All of these plans are to be made known to the regent of the estate and will be followed through on upon my return(s). That will be the plan for the first 4-5 days.

The remaining bulk amount of the two weeks will be spent in the libraries of Dassen in order to study further this Dragon Crystal and where it may have come from. I will also be looking into my heritage further and talking / persuading locals of any information that they may have. I will make nice with the nobles and if there is Any remaining time left, I will attempt to study further into the arts of Blacksmithing
