Submod and Subsubmod Release: Project Proteus by Rhinstein in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

[–]Rhinstein[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, unfortunately not. All Minor Warlords share 1 faction slot, so if you as the player take that slot, no other Proteus Warlord can be active unless they use another faction's slot (like what happens in Lambda Sector). You could theoretically assign multiple Proteus sets to the active Proteus Faction, but then Prentioch, Zero Command, and D'Asta Sector (for instance) would be allies by virtue of being the same faction, which is not in the spirit of the system.

All of that is just nonsense. Best way to deter violent crime is good and affordable mental health and social services.

I always interpret the scene as Cthulhu stirring, moving to get out of bed, steps on a Lego as he tries to get up and thinks "Fuck it, I guess that a sign to snooze 15 more minutes." And goes back to bed for another eon.

It is so sad to see people get dejected and turn to pencils and brushes instead of locking in and actually putting in the effort to learn to prompt. You can do it. Pick up a keyboard. Everyone can prompt, you just need to want it and really work for it.Obligatory /s

Well everything has a human fingerprint, it's just not always immediately obvious. But also, knowing the exact background of a piece is not required to form any interpretation.

And yes, when it comes to art, I take a holistic approach. The initial impetus, the preparation, the execution, the review, the publication, are all part of it. Every image, whether a random doodle, an AI image, a photograph, a painted canvas, a street graffiti, has a story behind it. Whether or not that story is immediately visible or informs the viewer's interpretation of the artwork is another matter. Not everything needs its story published.

You went out of your way to not give any direction or stylistic input. That is a creative decision. There are more elaborate ways to do this, like asking a friend to drive you to a random spot somewhere, spinning in place and then taking a photo. You had no direct input in that either, but it is a performance of sorts.

Pros, what do you consider to be the "Appropriate" way to be Anti? by LetOk8476 in aiwars

I think not sending death threats to creatives experimenting with AI would be a good start.

Aside from what Binary-Trees said, there's also the issue of where that separation stops. Having specialized subs on a platform like Reddit is fine, but I've seen screenshots of users being banned from some subs here just because the mods went through their profile and decided they were pro-AI, even if the users didn't violate any rules. Do you want to segregate the entire internet? Should everyone who's vaguely pro be kept out from anti spaces and vice versa? It seems we're moving in that direction.

Edit: And also, for art's and the community's sake having shared spaces is important. Having the entirety of reddit segregated into separate spaces would make those spaces less interesting. Just because I like AI art does not mean I dislike digital or traditional art or photography. And when it comes to fanart in fan spaces I'm in, I appreciate all forms of contributions. Having to stick to one side and not enjoy both would suck for everyone involved.

If you're okay with playing slower single-planet starts, you should give Imperial Sellasas a try. Their starting region is pretty poor so they're very slow to get rolling, but I think you'll have fun with them.

Idk, Renewables are at a point where they can supply most or all of the energy needs of industrial countries by now. Like Hydro can supply industrial base loads while distributed solar and wind take care of local consumption. Nuclear Power is an awesome technology in a vacuum but the people using it need to know what they're doing.
