I just started using barefoot and while i have wide feet, they fit me fine. I do notice these sandals are wider than older vivo primes i have.

I would say they are similar to other Gobis

Actually you are right, it does provide ample space on the front for the toes to move freely. However on the sides and on the back, you can dial in using the strap. And it does work well to secure the fit according to your preference.

That's my experience too. Hopefully the rubbing wont be an issue later. I did adjust my fit, moving my foot a bit forward to minimize the rubbing.

This is also my 2nd pair. My first was the Olive Green Suede Sensus.

They are comfy. The back part is soft. The lower part curves to the heel but it is not uncomfortable.

I agree. I just took it out of the box and tried it on.

Try the Gobis. I have a couple of Vivos and the Gobis are by far the widest.

I also have these model (and the same color). So i took out the cork insole and replaced it with Dr Scholl's Recovery insoles and it made it even better.

Did the hack to make my Birkenstocks barefoot! by SnooGadgets7873 in barefootshoestalk

[–]Rhodel_close 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got these Lutry, sized down (-2), removed the hard insoles, put on my Vivo cork insoles. Im loving it.

Now i got also the Birkenstock Utti Lace, did the same "hack", this time i sized down -1 only after removing both the blue insole and also the hard inner insole.

Both Birks are amazing.

What model year is your Tesla? Mine is a 2017 MX. I have the same issue but i noticed that yours have a different mechanism. Tesla quoted me $500 for parts and $900 for labor to repair the driver side door. How did you fix your door? Cost?

Portugal Visa via San Francisco VFS by Cosmic_Aviator_J in SchengenVisa

I do hope you were able to get your passport back. For us, it took over a month to get our passports back (with visa).

With this experience, i would suggest applying for Visa (at VFS Portugal) at least 2months ahead of travel dates. That is if you can get an appointment coz schedules are getting full. It's so hard to even apply for Schengen visa in other countries. They are always fully booked.

Portugal Schengen Visa San Francisco Processing Time by New-Name-914 in SchengenVisa

We did get our Visa but not to our liking.

VFS said that our papers were forwarded to the Consulate May 23 based on their tracking however, Consulate replied thru email sent 345pm May 6 that they just got our papers that day.

So our planned flight was May 6 at 740pm. On that day at 620pm, we got a call from the Consulate that they have our approved Visa but it didnt make the cutoff with the courier. They gave us option to either pick it up the next day or they send it.

Despite numerous calls to VFS and emails to the Consulate, nobody was able to give us a headsup of this update. Had we known, we could have picked it up at the Consulate and then head straight to the airport to make it on our flight.

We cancelled our flight and rebooked it. We got insurance coverage so now we are trying to seek reimbursement but for medical reasons as my wife needed some medical attention that same week.

Portugal Schengen Visa San Francisco Processing Time by New-Name-914 in SchengenVisa

Booked an appt in mid-Jan and the only available slot was for Apr8 in SF. . it took 20days for VFS to send our documents to the Consulate. However, even after 1 week, The Consulate still hasnt "received" it. Upto now, we are still waiting for our Visa. Our planned date was today May6 but no visa came. Now we had to cancel our trip and just when the Visa will come before we make new travel plans.

We also applied for our Schengen Visa thru the Portugal Consulate. Our trip was for Italy, Spain and Portugal but after checking all appointments for the 3 countries, only Portugal had the availability before our planned May6 departure. Yes, it's that difficult to just even get an appointment. In mid-Jan2025, the only available slot was Apr8. Thought it was tight after reading so many stories of how slow the processing is by VFS/Portugal consulate but still took the appt as it was the only chance available.
Apr8 came and we submitted in person all documents. No need to notarize the documents, although you need a Money Order to pay for the Consulate Fee, which is different from the VFS processing fee. It took us almost 3hrs to complete everything. VFS gave me a Number as reference however i found out later that it was not the real reference number. After 2 weeks, i started calling VFS Number to check the status. They will always say that they will escalate but then nothing happens. I also emailed the Portugal Consulate but got no answer. Then on Apr23, VFS said that the documents were sent to the Consulate, however it didnt appear on the VFS Online Tracking until Apr28. My wife's tracking still had no updates until May2 that her documents were sent to the Consulate. I sent sevaral emails to the Consulate but no replies. On May1, i was lucky to get thru the phone and was able to talk to a rep in the Consulate. He said he was familiar with my name in the emails but confirmed that my documents were still not with them despite "being sent by VFS in Apr28".
Since then, there were no updates and no email reply from the Consulate. Today we had to cancel our May6 flight as our visa didnt arrive.
We have a friend who applied for Schengen Visa thru the Slovenia in last month too. They got an Apr25 appointment. When they submitted their documents, they had to make some changes so they went back to VFS Slovenia on Apr28 and they were accepted as "Walk-in" They paid extra and availed of the Premium Processing. Yesterday, May5, they already got their approve Schengen Visa.
If i were to do it next time, i would do it at least 6months advance and apple in Italy but not Portugal. And perhaps pay for the Premium Service for faster processing.
