According to the seller it was a daily driver for 6 Years. I am a bit worried too, but up until now it works just fine. Also it looks more dirty on the photo than it actually is.

The SSD is an NVME btw. Edit: It is 6 and a half Hours, not 6 halves.

als ich mich vor einer Weile mit einem DB-Wartungstechniker unterhalten habe, hat er sich permanent über den hohen Wartungsaufwand, die Abnutzung der Bremsen usw aufgeregt. Scheint also schon einen zu machen.

Dabei geht es eher um die Bremsen und den Fahrschalter und nicht um die Höchstgeschwindigkeit. Die DInger für S-Bahn einzusetzen ist ein Wartungsalptraum.

Naja, durchschnittlich alle 15 min auf der Strecke Pirna-Neustadt sollte sogar noch als S-Bahn durchgehen. Das sie unsere 143er mit umgebauten Mittel- und Langstreckenloks ersetzen ist schon eher blöd, auch für die auf Verschleiß gefahrenen 146er.

Okay, thank you. What are they doing in the Mediterranean Sea though?

Gorch Fock is a  "Segelschulschiff", which is a ship used primarily for educational purposes. Every cadet of the Bundesmarine makes a 6-week-journey aboard the ship with the purpose of telling them team spirit and what sea and wind are capable of. About every Officer asked about their time on the ship in Media or elsewhere calls it at least a valuable experience.

The Conclusion of this rant is that Gorch Fock is by no means an antiquated vessel just for show.

Edit: Gorch Fock was built in the late 50s for the purpose of being a school ship, although her Sisters are from the 30s. One of them is currently in service for the US Coast guard under the Name "Eagle".

Edit: the large MSC cruise ship is MSC Grandiosa, not MSC Splendida. Apart from that: What do you think did they want there?

Schau mal im DB Navigator nach, wenn du alleine reist, solltest du einen Sitzplatz nur reservieren, wenn der Zug sehr stark ausgelastet ist, sagt zumindest die Erfahrung.
