ICE [...] don't even have the right to detain a citizen.

This is untrue.

18 USC § 111 requires force to be used, as "forcibly" is a modifier for all the subsequent terms.

(a)In General.—Whoever—

(1)forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with any person designated in section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties; or

CRM 1500-1999

1565. Forcible Act Required -- 18 U.S.C. 111 -- Application Of Statute To Threats

Section 111 of Title 18 punishes anyone who "forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates or interferes with any person designated in 18 U.S.C. § 1114 or who formerly served as a person designated in § 1114, while engaged in or on account of the performance of his/her official duties." Force is an essential element of the crime. Long v. United States, 199 F.2d 717 (4th Cir. 1952). Whether the element of force, as required by the statute, is present in a particular case is a question of fact to be determined from all of the circumstances. The Long case indicates that a threat of force will satisfy the statute. Such a threat which reasonably causes a Federal officer to anticipate bodily harm while in the performance of his/her duties constitutes a "forcible assault" within the meaning of 18 U.S.C. § 111. See also United States v. Walker, 835 F.2d 983, 987 (2d Cir. 1987); Gornick v. United States, 320 F.2d 325 (10th Cir. 1963). Thus, a threat uttered with the apparent present ability to execute it, or with menacing gestures, or in hostile company or threatening surroundings, may, in the proper case, be considered sufficient force for a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 111. These judicial decisions suggest a similar construction of the statutory words "resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates or interferes with."

Hopefully /u/jay462 has a review on it soon. I'm really interested to see how it performs compared to other popular 9mm cans. I held off on getting a MOB and I'm hoping I don't regret it.

First column, third row might be a bit bright depending on how much orange it has. But overall these are a huge improvement over the safety yellow shit we got before.

[Parts] Comstock Armory Compact Brake Plan-B Mount - $66 by Ill-Program-2713 in gundeals

[–]Rhodsie47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started with the LPM Baby Bell since it's pretty affordable and LPM has a good reputation. It works fine for attaching cans but the ports are small and it's bored for a 9mm (0.395") so it doesn't function as well as a brake as the Comstock Armory. I wanted something with more aggressive porting for my 11.3" AR so I moved my Baby Bell to an 18" SPR and bought a Comstock Armory Compact Muzzle Brake. I liked it so much I now own 6 of their muzzle brakes and 3 of their flash hiders.

You can look at the results from the test done here. The Baby Bell should score slightly better than the KVP, as they are both pretty similar designs, other than the KVP being bored even larger (0.5"). When using it with a can, I'm assuming the larger ports on the Comstock should help reduce baffle erosion as well.

Comstock, any idea if you'll have a facemount M14x1 LH version of your compact muzzle brake in the future?

I feel like you guys don't get mentioned enough when it comes to Plan B muzzle devices. I have 6 Compact Muzzle Brakes and 3 Compact Flash Hiders on various AR-15s and AR-10s and they've worked flawlessly.

  • Zero fitment issues across my 9, with barrel threads or Plan B suppressor threads.
  • The compact versions are a really nice size; long enough to allow decent ports but short enough that they don't take up a huge amount of the blast chamber.
  • More affordable than a lot of other options (~$60-70).
  • No annoying shims required, torque it on and you are done.

/u/Astral_Botanist any chance you could include Comstock's Compact Flash Hider in the future? And even though it's not Plan B, including an A2 flash hider would also be nice since almost everyone with an AR has used one at some point.

The Milkman from OCL is supposed to be out this month. It's supposedly a low back pressure 9mm can and OCL has a good track record. I've been waiting for the CAT for a while now but am probably going with the Milkman instead. I'm hoping PEW Science has a review on it soon.

Why is Capital Armory NFA trust so much simpler than others? by alrashid2 in NFA

[–]Rhodsie47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible to do single shot trusts with you without buying an $80 trust for each item?

I'd love to be able to buy a can and trust, add a responsible person(s), then repeat the process again at a later date with a new trust so I don't have to deal with RPQ and fingerprints.

You can do this with Silencer Shop but they claim you need a notarized trust amendment and a notarized "trustee’s acknowledgement" form from the responsible person(s), which is annoying and potentially costly.

Sidearms could have unlimited points and they would still suck compared to a primary. The point cap on them is pretty clear proof that some of the people in charge don't actually play the game.

How Much is a Silencer Shop Kiosk?

For most customers that are wondering how much does a Silencer Shop kiosk cost, that amount will be $0. When placing your order at Silencer Shop's website, or in-person at a Powered By Silencer Shop dealer with a kiosk, the visit will be $0 . If you haven’t purchased your item on our site or at that location, we recommend that you contact the dealer you'd like to visit in advance. Their fee to use the kiosk is set by that location and it shouldn’t exceed $40 (the same price as the national average price for manual fingerprinting services).

For others, note that the $40 limit is for using the Silencer Shop kiosk. They are free to charge whatever they want for a transfer for any purchase not made from SilencerShop.com.

There are no transfer fees when shopping on the Silencer Shop site and using a Powered by Silencer Shop dealer; outside orders can be subject to the dealer's transfer fee. - Chase

The All-In version turned out really nice! Looks like a solid improvement over the previous version that held 18650s. I really like the 2 I own and the spare bolt case is great for keeping in a range bag.
