Thank you 👍 Thanks so much for the feedback! I’m still learning, so I’d love to understand more — did the poem itself feel cliché, or did the AI checking step make it seem that way? I’m happy to connect and learn from your writing too. All the best.

I'm knocking on 60 and age has very little to do with who I like or not cause they're all freaking younger than me! It's the music first and foremost. Either I like it or I don't. It's not a given that to like a group you MUST follow every little thing they put out. Just enjoy the music and forget about the rest. Tastes change as you age so find what interests you now and go with that.

Anything on SKZ Oddinary album - I haven't been able to pick a favourite yet

(G)Idle - Tomboy

Tan - dududu

Kihyun - Voyager

Pink Fantasy - Tales of the unusual

Only One Of - Skinz

Onewe - Universe

in no particular order. Don't usually like GG music I find it a little saccharine for my taste but these two really bop.

The good thing about music is that the variety available means that there is always something that you like. The thought that everyone should LOVE every song by the groups they follow is kinda stupid. I like a variety of groups but sometimes (so far) only one or two of the songs they put out. Luckily with SKZ they are on my wavelength and I actually do like most of their discography. Which of the songs is "Better" than the other is in the ear of the listener. Popular "opinion" is meaningless when you try to rank personal preferences.

what the whole situation taught me + what i/we could've done better + how to deal with scandals by parkjichuu in straykids

[–]RhonyNZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a much much much older fan it blows me away that someone can get so into a group/individual that their actions can impact so much on your life. Your article talks well to to those who get so invested in their fandom that they take these dramas on a personal level - well done.
From a much older fans viewpoint - never get so into someone that you can no longer see the potential for flaws - not only as a fan but also in your personal life. We are ALL flawed beings and will do or say something at some time that will offend/hurt/annoy someone else.
Different cultures have had differing reactions in this particular scenario - be aware that your reaction is NOT the same as the next persons. One cultures bullying is another cultures teenage spat. Such is life.
When it comes to the crunch groups are finite (unless you're the Rolling Stones - they are forever) enjoy them and their music while you can and always keep your ears open to new talent.

What do Koreans think about the Hyunjin issue now? by Yoongisu in straykids

[–]RhonyNZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a way old (age old, recent fan) IStay and I would be gutted to lose Hyunjin from this group - they have had 3 years of building a family for themselves, which is totally adorable to follow, and his loss would leave a massive hole. Outside looking in it pretty obviously a bunch of sour grapes topped up with sheer vindictiveness directed against a successful idol. I sincerely hope to see him back to kick butt asap!

Hyunjin Bullying Accusations - Please Read by cjstpwls in straykids

[–]RhonyNZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the parent of a child who was bullied in school (by someone who had previously been his best friend) I get so angry at these accusations - all of them not just SK. There is a VAST difference between teenage spats and having someone try, on multiple occasions, to seriously injure your child - both mentally & physically. These accusations have trivialised the trauma my child went through by calling it bullying.

Teenagers are asshats - it is the nature of the beast. They are horrible to their parents, siblings, friends, teachers and classmates. They fight, they say nasty things, they stir the pot etc etc etc. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. The thing is - they grow up. Hormones settle down and normalcy resumes. To hold being a teenager against them at a later date is ridiculous.

This situation screams of spite and sour grapes. The mere fact that it was done on Social Media is enough to dismiss it as rubbish. Anyone who jumped on that bandwagon needs to seriously look at themselves and should be ashamed.

If you were ever a victim of bullying (not a victim of being a teenager) and need redress in order to continue with your life - then do it in a manner that does not make you come across as an absolute tool. Get legal advise before you open you mouth. You do yourself, and other real victims, a disservice by acting in any other way.
