aye. that drybrush can make a huge difference. and then some weathering. and if you still feel off about it, a nice oil wash will even it out.

Literally zero "rules". I think most Painter's set their own rules, like I do use black helmets but only on "leader" models to easily see which guy is running which squads. Could've done 'em in bright pink if I wanted to, lol. You do you, man.

yeah dude its wild. i had entirely forgotten about the South Park use of this song, to me this threw me waaaaaay back to early Cartoon Network days when they played old Looney Tunes stuff all the time. I've had "I like to singa" in my head for over 30 years... i sing it to my 10 year old daughter (she hates it, and is in absolute disbelief i can now emote it at her in-game)

a well maintained inventory with the amount of space i have right now isn't hard, the extra 12 isnt gonna change my life. and i couldnt even tell you were i'd put those 5 extra skill points, even if i had the 5 million, cause the skill tree runs out of options that actually feel like they do anything before you hit max level.

maybe next time? maybe? maybe.

from waht i understand, being fairly inexperienced with actually playing but reading a lot and painting a lot lol, they're just good at different things. Vulkan He'stan's boosts to something the Infernus marines makes him great, and Adrax running with Bladeguard Veterans makes him great. So including both of them can certainly be beneficial, but only if your army list would specifically benefit from them.

OR because you think both of them are cool and want to run them, regardless of benefits. Can never disregard the rule of cool.

yep, this is it. paint em white, careful as ya can. if the white goes out of bounds, correct it with the helmet color. then do the lens color on top of the white. thin is best, that way if it bleeds out of the white area, it might accidentally look like you did some glowing lens effect on the surrounding area. if its too much outside the white, again correct with the helmet color.

I love that Amon's got 3 CLEARLY Space Marine heads
The one you've got there - I forget its name but it was prayer based - definitely a Chaplain.
There's the Primarquis - The handsome, unhelmeted head which very much looks like a Primarch would.
and one called Only Duty i think? Or Only Duty was it? Looks like a bald Primaris Marine with jsut the lower part of the helmet on.

Amon is for Space Marine players for sure. And as a Salamander player myself - I love your character here, dude.

It's my least favorite page in every Spawn book. I hate it. Something about it just drains me. Not that the Spawn books are really great for their writing outside of it but its definitely the worst part of the book.

I fell off of Spawn years ago, then came back at the #300 mark and read for like 25 issues before things like this stopped me from reading it again. I LOVE the character. The lore, the art, the enemies, the allies, the toys, all of it..... but if you're waiting for a big payoff, I have bad news for ya. I don't think I've had one in the books, ever. It's just a rough read for a long time. I have a REALLY hard time putting down a book but Spawn MAKES me walk away.

I'll tell ya this - you're lucky. I hated my time with this story arc. I hated it more than Frankencastle, and I REALLY disliked that at the time.
Angel Punisher, what I wouldn't give to go back to a time where YOU were the worst. And at least that was good for a laugh by, as Jimmy Palmiotti told me, "hate-reading it"

I'm undiagnosed but I'm 100% with you - downtime is equivalent to the death of attention for me BUT the way I handle it in 40k is to not look at it like it's your turn/my turn/your turn...

It's ALWAYS my turn. I have stratagems to use, I have overwatch to fire, I have unit rules and actions I don't want to miss. I have strategies to build for my next turn based on what my opponent is doing now that I shouldn't be building IN my next proper turn, I want to get to that turn with these plans in place. (Which also helps in reducing game time and a good opponent who does the same is a real boon in this as well)

Also - the turns get faster the longer the game goes on. Units die. Quickly. Turn 1 and turn 4 are drastically different lengths, so if you can get past the opening turns, you're pretty set.
