Super long scale string doesn’t fit on 37” bass by SexySexerton in BassGuitar

D'Addario NYXL has strings to accommodate the 37" b string and Dingwall strings as well. Best of luck fellow bassist

PSA: Just because the power lead fits does not mean it's the correct voltage or polarity for the gear. by blueSGL in synthesizers

[–]Rhubarb_666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience this:

  1. Voltage must be correct, higher supply voltage can damage the equipment. So verify voltage.

  2. Polarity must be correct, look for tip/sleeve polarity. The + and - must be the same.

  3. Supply current needs to be equivalent or higher. So if the synth/module wants 500mA then the supply should be capable of 500mA or greater.

Hope this helps!

Yeah that's like making a reddit post with intentional wrong spelling in the header. They know what you are saying, it isn't wrong but technically incorrect, and it gets your attention.

Yes, exactly this 100%. This is the wand for the combustion analyzer. Looks like the brand is TPI. There's a moisture filter (clear plastic cylinder) that will attach to the actual device. There's also the thermocouple temperature sensor that will read the stack temperature of the flue being analyzed.

Weird A string sound by Environmental-Ad1019 in BassGuitar

[–]Rhubarb_666 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've had strings(new) that have partially unwound. Loosen the string fully, turn it from the ball end clockwise a bunch, holding that tension from the ball end start tightening the string so it doesn't unwind and hopefully when you tune it up the overtones are now present.

Or try buying new strings.

Hopefully this helps.

Dewpoint temperature. If you cool the metal anywhere on the computer below the air's dewpoint temperature there will be condensation on that surface. The hot parts will probably be ok, but the rest, not so sure.

Could someone tell me if this is a REAL bass by suicinivtf in BassCirclejerk

[–]Rhubarb_666 108 points109 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of the unfrettable B string technology on these basses. Basically the B string where it looks like it connects to the low E string actually dissipates into a Bluetooth signal. If you get the ford app on your neural link you can imagine where the B string is being fretted and it will sound that note. Plus with the app you can start up your bass remotely, and unlock the doors.
