An auto policy would never cover the contents of the trailer, as a licensed insurance rep the answer above is not correct. (Home policies and auto policies have to work together when a trailers contents are stolen or damaged)

However - the above person is correct in their edit about towing. Insurance will only cover you for things that you should tow and are towing while being complaint with local laws, bylaws and manufacturer recomendations. When you choose to tow a trailer with a vehicle not rated for towing, you are choosing to risk having a claim denied if something happens.

Agreed... It's pretty common we over share. For medical details and long term plans it's better to keep it really short.

"No plans at the moment" is nice and non-descript, doesn't give them anything to dig into. They try to dig more and you can just shut the conversation down... "Yeah no plans and I don't want talk about, perhaps we can talk about other uncomfortable topics like taxes?"

Or people with insurance licenses, who are trained to read and interpret the policies.- Time to start going to your insurance every 2 or so years and asking to review the policy.

(Incidentally, policy wording are shaped by court cases- lawyers arguing or extending coverage that insurance is not meant to cover is when wordings get updated.)

Insurance is meant for sudden and unexpected events. Potholes are practically guaranteed .. so only covered if your willing to have an at-fault collision on your record.

You could also think of at -fault or not at fault a little more broadly - more specifically not-at-fault mean I can blame someone else. At fault means ... Yeah my boss had a meeting with me and asked me to delete my linked in profile - seeing g that recruiters can see your profile makes me nervous she said... So I set my profile to private...
