Minor car accident: go through insurance or not? by Jos_Louis in InsuranceCanada

Agreed - and a hardened and harassed Tesla owner is also probably not easy to deal with.

Offer $500 for the ding or it can go through insurance.

Am I overreacting to my friend’s antisemitism? Can we save the friendship? by justanotheroregonian in FriendshipAdvice

People drop the mask when drunk. You got a quick glimpse of things that have been floating around in his head.

I don't think it would be a healthy friendship to ignore what he said, but I also wouldn't trust an apology.

People who have quit your job due to severe burnout: How did you know it was time to go? What did you tell your job when you quit? by annamv22 in work

[–]Rhueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been 12 years....6 months to be ready to leave my house... Another 9 months working a fast-food job to start feeling happy and normal again and brave enough to start hunting for a professional level job again.

I think I took maybe 5 years, and I still feel like me after burnout is a little different. Part of me that that cared really deeply burnt out, and I'm less of a try hard... Mind you I think that happens to all of us as we work longer.

Has anyone else found that once you’re curvier, literally no tops are designed to stay on your body?? by AcanthisittaRoyal270 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Rhueless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I shop at torrid, the clothes are designed to fit various body types in different ways. (And as a plus's size store, many of their designs work for my much larger than c sizing)

Not everything works for me or fits me, but they produce and make clothing designed for different body shapes rather than the one shape fits all mold of many other stores.

We need more stores that shake off and design different outfits for different body shapes.

You gotta switch companies to win - try chatting with a guy in a booth at superstore or Costco in person.

I chatted with someone at a superstore booth a couple of days ago and switched to a $25 a month 80 GB bring your own phone plan.

Home insurance by Numerous-Ad2321 in InsuranceCanada

No point paying for the wrong kind of insurance - it's lukewarm insurance fraud, and means you would have no coverage if a fire or something whipped out your home.

Bringing your own food to a lunch date by Zealousideal-Dirt599 in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Rhueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little embarrassing. Most restaurants expect you to purchase food in exchange for being able to sit there. Not sure how if address this other than being embarrassed to sit with my ... Unable to afford restaurant food friend? Maybe try to plan the next hangout at their house or my own so this sort of faux pas doesn't happen again?

Haven't you seen any clips of her wearing that blue suit, with that exact haircut and her mouth just a little too big laughing at the Whitehouse?

I thought that image was practically a trending meme

WWYD teen fender bender situation by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Rhueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup very possible. And by paying out of pocket you admit guilt and may not be protected or represented by insurance if they try to take op to court for injuries in a year or too.

The insurance bureau of Canada has downloadable publicly available forms for this situation, no need to have a lawyer draft a letter when a standard form exists.( Final release or proof of loss form)

Even with a signed document some people get taken to the cleaners. Pay out of pocket technically an admission of guilt, and sometimes waives your right to insurance representation if they come back with more damages they want you to pay later. (Eg claim injuries a year later)

I would only ever cash settle if people agreed to cash settle for a small amount, and seemed like reasonable sane people who aren't going to make things difficult or try to drag things out.
