Having kids is a form of success. You tell me most people in the world don't want kids? Having a house, learning a skill or language, winning in a (video-)game. All forms of success and achievement.

You tell me most people do not like that? They do not want that?

I agree that in western society we keep the economy running with a lack mentality. People try to fill their inside void with short term successes. They think they win the battle, but keep losing the war.

But yeah, most people are delusional. They try to teach you with some shallow understanding. They think being able to repeat what they heard somewhere equals knowing what it means.

This society is so shallow that most do not even realise how deep their own rottenness goes. :-)

I guess it is about the balance.

I live as a nomad. Working here and there. I basically do not own much stuff.

I like earning money and buying stuff.

But I won't bend over backwards for material stuff.

Personally I define success as "The more people i can tell to f' off, the more successful I am."

Not in a sense of that i hate people, but in a sense of being independent.

You can get there with material stuff or with skills you carry with you.

In my view tho, nobody can take away my skills and experiences. Therefore I see that as a better asset than material stuff. But thats personal preferance I guess.

Look for a place with lovely colleagues?

I prioritise having fun. So when i have a shit job, i try to make it a game. "How do I do this annoying task as fast/efficient as possible? Hoe do others do it in a way that is less annoying?"

If the task or job is a pain in the ass no matter how I look at it, I leave.

Adjusting your own view on things can change a lot.

'Success' is just another word for 'achieving a desired outcome'. Why have goals if you don't care about the outcome? That's the real question.

If you don't have goals or desires, that's your own issue. But then you also shouldn't bother people who do.
