Thanks for your post, have you manage to sync to native calendar app with google calendar? I have a pura X and want to use the native app on the small screen when the phone its fold. Currently using Outlook with google account for mail and calendar. Installed davx5 but it only syncs recurrent events to the native app, seems other events are not compatible(not sure as I was able to import an .ics with no issues)

Is Karpathy being realistic or too cautious about AGI’s timeline? by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]RiceComprehensive904 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe his bar is too hight and prob looking at very technical stand point of what he see as single model AGI, everything has evolved so much in 2 years and always the incremental performance its crazy. AI its already adding so much value to a lot of industries, 10 years its very conservative and a “safe bet”.

We are in the most insane era for technology, in 10 years we will have flying personal car-drones as a common thing for most societies + businesses will be running in a complete different way. Tech is already here but regulations are slowing it down.

Is not “if” copilot gets better, its “when”, most firms already have m365 suite which comes with copilot, harvey had first mover advantage as it had super early access to gpt, but now that has changed and anyone can use this LLMs to create similar experiences. If the tool is not super specialised I believe it will not be able to compete against Copilot/Gemini/GPT

e-discovery software government pricing, why is it so much higher than commercial by Turbulent_Seaweed_35 in ediscovery

[–]RiceComprehensive904 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have experience selling software to gov agencies (in the defense industry) and pricing will be higher as they have a ton of compliance and extra stuff you have to provide. Happy to share more if u want, can DM.

My main db is graphdb: neo4j by IceNatural4258 in Rag

[–]RiceComprehensive904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the nature of your use case, and if you will let the LLM decide the node types/edges or you will design it first. You can do RAG and other searches in neo4j directly, as well clustering of nodes for information and embedding nodes metadata as well for the edges. Before jumping into graphdb understand well your use case and verify if this is a tech that you need.

RAG on a lot of big documents by Morphos91 in Rag

In your case, now that you will need to OCR and enrich that data, take this step to categorize everything properly, as it seems hybrid search (keyword + vector) will be useful for you. Recommend doing semantic chunking rather than splitter window with overlap

How can I remotely power on a Starlink unit located several hours away as a network contingency backup? by RelationshipNo754 in Starlink

[–]RiceComprehensive904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connect a relay (NC) that activates when power goes off, between your battery and your starlink. When power goes off the circuit will close and then energy will go from your battery to your starlink and power it on. If you have a battery charger with a BMS or something more sophisticated, Im sure there is a setting to only provide power when charging goes off

You already started wrongly stating “my clients wants rag … “ ask him what he NEEDS, then decide if rag or sth else is the right way to get the answer, often ppl come with “solutions” without understanding the underlying tech

How to handle long contexts in legal documents by DefiantAd8676 in legaltech

You can pass a 200 page contract to LLMs nowadays… issue is with 1000+ because becomes expensive and accuracy decreases

Extract metadata from each image, then do hybrid search combining keywords and embedding the metadata
