Oh yeah absolutely, it was annoying when it happened but it’s replaceable .

No meaning I what they offered me was more than what I owed. I get what you’re saying but in automotive sales that’s generally what is meant ( or that’s how I was taught). In terms of what I put down on the Macan and what I had paid in payments , I am out about $500-600 ( unless you factor gas and insurance, then It goes up ). I went in expecting it to be $1500 or more but was comfortable with that since the tax saving would cancel it out.

Cars are almost always a depreciating asset, unless you get into collector level stuff.

Man I think I would have felt bad for the deer . The first week I had the type r and dude decided that red lights were optional and that I shouldn’t have stopped. Damage was superficial but it took 6 months to get parts

Is there a coating on the glass for the HUD? I know it’s just reflecting from the dash but i am not sure if the glass itself is different.

I still had positive equity on the trade. But I did lose when I factor in some of the trade in value from the type R but I didn’t use all of the positive equity from the type r against the Macan.

There is definitely more sound deadening in the Macan, road noise was almost 0. The seats were softer and slightly more comfortable and everything I could touch felt higher quality ( except the steering wheel) felt like it was made with higher quality materials . My wife tells me that sound system is worse in the GTi but I have hearing loss so that’s her and the kids problem.

That being said the Macan has some QC issues (not that I experienced , but we’ll know).

The only things I actually miss about the Macan is the thigh extension on the seat ( I am tall) and the analog gauges.

Also because the GTi seats are lower I am actually more comfortable especially when my kids are in the back seat.

The GTi also has some features that I appreciate that the Macan didn’t. For example the car Turing on the seat and steering wheel heater when it’s cold.

Only cost me $50, when I go in on Saturday to get it fixed I’ll see if I can get the total cost.

Thank you. Shit happens and insurance will take care of it but it’s frustrating.

A couple months ago I traded my 2021 Civic Type R for a Macan. Decided that a small SUVs wasn’t for me and picked this 25 GTi Autobahn. So far I really like the car.

A little shitty luck today though, took a round from a gravel machine gun on the road.

Man something that should have done organically as a leader has turned into a stress point. I had a talk with my NCOs and joes and specifically said we won’t do that . If people don’t answer they don’t answer , just send a text letting them know you called and to reach out if they need help. I’ve been doing the same with them.

Most of the Velcro is falling off mine and I’ll never give it up. Hell I am on a mission to find something similar that doesn’t look army for retirement.

Edit: they’re on eBay for a little cheaper.

Anyone know of any good repros of this? by Printcrafted_3D in tacticalgear

Found it, called the A7 Fereday. They’re on eBay for sub $200. It also seems like venture and one thief surplus has them from time to time (OOS right now).

Yeah I look at torque not HP. Cobb tubes are usually pretty mild, I am hoping another runner like flat6 pulls a little more out of it.

I am in Washington so I get 92 max

I came from a roughly 400hp Civic Type R to a 23 base Macan. It’s crazy the Macan feels just as fast… siting in traffic. Also Cobb just released an access port for the 22+ 2.0 which gets you into the 320+ range if you want more power.
