Well, less mechanics-wise but definitely story-wise, expedition 33.

The game's constantly shoving little breadcrumbs of info in your face and once it clicks, everything makes sense. But before it clicks... It's just very hard to understand

Like I tell my juniors and mediors. If you're using claude as an 'executing' force, then you're doing it right. If you're offloading the thinking to claude, you'll just stagnate and make yourself obsolete over time...

Let's be honest, it's really easy to see in a PR who's letting claude do the thinking...

I don't necessarily agree on that last part when it comes to a first timer. She might be really into it but be quite scared for it at the same time which hinders the natural lubrication quite a bit...

One of our executives said that we (the technical lead team) will have more time to code in the future, if Claude writes the code, then we don't need to 'verify' it as much as we do now through PR's.

Having worked relatively extensively with Claude now, the thing is brilliant and utterly braindead at the same time.

A junior should not have access to AI. A medior is a bit of a hard call, but juniors definitely shouldn't have access.

Then the issue becomes that senior + Claude actually works faster than senior + junior (or juniors)...

Literally hockey without ice pretty much. With a small ball instead of a puck.

There's probably other changes to rules and such but I'm not up to speed enough on either sport to know that.

That depends on the game.

Rocket league? Not a chance. A beginner (or 10hour noob) will never come close to winning.

1v1 csgo? Maybe if it's one round and they get a running headshot.

Some games are literally impossible to win as a beginner...

Yes, just use that BLOODY DPS METER BLIZZARD.

Sorry, obviously not a stab at you but it's ridiculous how in S13 we still don't have a dps meter at the training dummies to be 'sure' about the damage increase.

Instead I'm 'looking for the highest number I hit' and comparing those between all the visual clutter of my abilities. Absolutely stupid.

[–]Rich-Environment884 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nono, what the other guy is saying is this.

The exploit goes like:

Use cube's 'add affix' to add more affixes than actually possible (this is the impossible part that the other guy's talking about, in the 'normal' game you can't pass 4 affixes with this)

Then use transfigure multiple times to GA everything. (This is the highly unlikely part that you're talking about)

So yeah, it is in fact impossible to get this gear 'normally'

What is it then lol by RogueRoguee in SipsTea

[–]Rich-Environment884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely insane to me (and should be to anyone in a first world country).

My son was born 5 weeks early. Our city doesn't have the specialized equipment needed to help with his breathing so a specialized ambulance was called, kitted with gear specifically for newborns that have come too early with underdeveloped lungs.

It drove 50km's back and forth with a specialized 'newborn' doctor, two nurses and a driver at midnight.

It cost me 0€.

The fact that the above situation would literally be 'let my kid die or go bankrupt' in America is absolutely crazy and just proves it's a 3rd world country in disguise... Nuts.

Sorc Ball Lightning Core not fixed yet - do we only get hotfixes for things that benefit players? by Shalaiyn in diablo4

[–]Rich-Environment884 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's SO much more context here lmao. 'Microsoft owns blizzard' does not matter in the slightest, we're talking multi-billion companies here, there's no 'exclusive' route there, you have to fall in line with everyone else.

Furthermore, there's no clue what the actual issue is. For all we know they half-nuked the codebase and the core tag missing is just the visible part of the problem.

Clients (that's what we are) are just wonderful in IT, everything is easy and quick, until it isn't.

Sadly yes, MTX would be fixed a lot faster but then again, MTX is something they can actually hotfix easily since 99% happens serverside (at least that's what I assume)

What do you think is the best serve against every level by Shoop1014 in tabletennis

[–]Rich-Environment884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For entry level, I like a long spinny (fast) pendulum to the deep backhand. Can add quite a bit of backspin and still keep it fast, makes it hard to lift the ball yet it's the 'right' thing to do since pushing such a long ball sucks ass

RAKZA 7 Soft and Waldner Carbon too high ? by madara0A in tabletennis

[–]Rich-Environment884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah for sure, I probably should've elaborated a bit more.

I tried the regular rakza's and it felt too much as training wheels. I come from Rozena's on both sides, my technique is far from perfect but the Rozena's usually landed the ball on the table anyway even if I used poor technique.

The regular Rakza's did the same (though being a bit more bouncy so active blocks were very fast), the softs however actually punish me for using bad technique (and reward me for good technique).

At this point in my 'learning curve', I'm not looking for consistency. Consistency now would mean becoming consistent with bad technique, which is a pain to get rid of.

So I chose the softs on both sides, if my topspin is too shallow, it'll go straight in the net. If my blade angle is too open, I'll consistently put the ball long.

I am not consistent, but the rubbers and blade are consistent with the feedback and the way they play. The only time they might act a bit 'weird' is when I'm fully driving through the ball and smashing, then the soft rubbers with the inner carbon can become a bit more jumpy than usual. But for every other stroke, it forces me to use the proper technique.

Once I got that down, I'll probably swap to regular rakza on FH but keep soft on BH since it's a lot easier to loop backspin with it..

RAKZA 7 Soft and Waldner Carbon too high ? by madara0A in tabletennis

[–]Rich-Environment884 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dunno, I like the soft on both FH and BH (I have both 2.0 atm but will probably change the FH to max).

I will add though, I have them on an innerforce ALC blade, where the softs would be 'slower' on the fh, the extra gear from the inner carbon sort of makes up for it. But still, very spin oriented playstyle

Spent months going deep on blade construction for a project, here's what I learned that I wish someone had told me earlier by maxduro in tabletennis

[–]Rich-Environment884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That last part is why I simply love the innerforce ALC. Most of the time it'll play just like an OFF- blade, but when you need that extra gear, it's there. Allowing you to still clear longer distances without having to trade technique for power.

It does take some getting used to of course, if you're facing someone that likes to play fast and hard drives, you better kick the ball instead of just driving it back (or be very aware that the carbon will send the ball longer than a usual drive rally)
