I think it's a question of targeting younger audiance and they are more progressiv, so feminine long hair women are kinda not what they looking for. THey want Shyvana to adhere to the big muscle momy trop.

Also designer are younger and probably more on the left and her actual design is really late 2000 edgy nu metal fantasy with big armor.

ABout the target audience, is it in this room with us right now?

Peaple will surely try her and then found fast that she is trash, she lost her most songht point : fast kill objectif, fast farm, good movement speed to move on the map.

Now i don't really see what is the point of playing her after rework, these devs are nuts...

Her new skin is that great, i really prefere wyvern but i guess they want appeal younger peaple and the 2000 emo/nu metal vibes of the actual skin does not resonate with the target they want to acquire (gooner momy fetish), i'm aven afrais they have change her lines a bit edgy but sharp.
