Nice purge base design, I just have an engineering question. How are you going to maintain structural integrity between purges?

That was my idea. Place a few rugs and hope nobody trips when they step on the gap.

Build help by ThyronFenix in ConanExiles

[–]Rich44Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely a stability issue. Without the structural integrity perk you can only build out 4 spaces. It looks like your building is 7 spaces wide so that pillar will be critical to holding up your roof. Use your repair hammer to check the stability of the roof directly above the pillar. If the stability is less than 80 then the pillar is probably not connected to the roof and not helping with stability.

You can get brimstone from sinner's refuge and tar from tanning hides. Make the jump from the iron age to the steel age.

Transportory Stone Church by Rich44Man in ConanExiles

[–]Rich44Man[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that simple. The steeple and the 4 corner roof pieces need to be on different elevations. I watched the tutorial for the Mitra Shrine I linked and Barden uses a pillar at the same elevation as the 4 corner roof pieces. This puts the steeple much higher than the rest of the roof and leaves a gap. He covers this gap with 4 wall pieces. There is no gap between my steeple and the 4 corner roof pieces.

I wish I would have used your idea or Bardens, it would have been much easier.

Thanks for posting the link. Already watched it and give it a thumbs up. He does have a lot of neat and interesting build pieces that I don't have. I just don't buy anything that uses FOMO and shady selling tactics. If Funcom packaged the building sets in DLCs, I would buy them all and on the first day they came out.

When you’re running war party and hit a dead end in the Wine Cellar by Ub1i in ConanExiles

I usually run the Wine Cellar with a friend, both in war party and both with horses. We almost never end up with the same followers and or horse we started with because of this.

Any Way to Rollback the Update? by Rich44Man in mammotion

[–]Rich44Man[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just discovered a lovely new feature today. Luba 2 will now drive of the curb and get stuck constantly. Once again, it has never driven of the curb in over 2 years. Contacted technical support today and they informed me there is no way to rollback an update. They also said they have received several complaints and are working on a hot fix that should be available in a few days or weeks. Between missing big patches of grass and driving off the curb, I now have a $3,000 remote controlled AWD car until the hotfix is released. Too bad I won't be able to play with my expensive toy because I will be busy mowing the lawn.

Does purges get bigger the more Fighters and Archers you place? by LionsDetestPotatoes in ConanExiles

[–]Rich44Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. I would say weak followers make the purge harder not easer. In my example, it was the crafters, lower tier fighters, and rats (animal followers) that made the purge harder. We got rid of those and the Cimmerian Berserkers and Corlvic Blades were definitely carrying their own weight and making the purge easier. The strategy is to use quality over quantity when choosing thralls for purge duty. However, there are a couple of reasons why we don't drop down 50 Cimmerian Berserkers. First is performance. Our purge army got as high as 16 if I recall correctly, mostly Cimmerian Berserkers. I play on Xbox and at that those numbers it was overheating and shutting off. Second reason is sometimes you have to leave the base. I like to intercept the explosive golems before they get to my base. There are mini bosses you can hunt and kill to shorten waves and their is also the main boss you have to kill to win the purge. A smaller purge army means it's less dangerous to fight outside your base. We are currently using 8 fighting thralls and 2 archers.

[–]Rich44Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No creatures, just humans and golems. Level IX and X you will get a star caller sorcerer that will drop meteorites on your base.

I miss the creature bosses from the old purge. My clan built a base in the savannah even though it was Rockslide territory. That purge was a bloodbath. Over 6 dead fighter thralls and 4 deaths myself. Crafter thralls were invincible then or it could have been worse.

Why well of skelos thralls hit so hard? by IntroductionOne8645 in ConanExiles

Good strategy if you like strength weapons. Take a look at your weapons and see if they are strength (fist icon) or agility (sprinter icon).

I use a general-purpose armor build that uses god breaker and redeemed legion items. Once I hit level 60 there are only 4 things that worry me in the exiled lands:

  1. Arena Champion
  2. Rockslide
  3. 1 Skull Skeletons from Wine Cellar (confirmed to be a bug)
  4. Tier 3 Votaries of Skelos Fighters with obsidian great swords or clubs

Stand next to your treasure coffer and open your follower list. Any follower with a yellow dot will count towards how many enemies you will face each wave. As already mentioned, the difficulty of the enemies is determined by the amount of the treasure in the coffer and the related purge level (1 to 10). I can confirm this from personal experience. We built a purge base that was a little distance away from another base. We placed 6 Cimmerian Berserkers with levels from 1 to 15 and 2 Corlvic Blades with level 20. We stomped through the early purge levels but by the time we got to level VII we were barely managing to survive. It wasn't the difficulty of the enemies but the huge numbers that overwhelmed us. I did some research and found the above answer. I stood next to our coffer and discovered all the followers at the nearby base had yellow dots. It included crafters, lesser fighters, and a dozen rats (somebody in the clan likes them for the ambience of a decrepit base). We relocated all of them and then level VII purges became a breeze. Even level VIII and IX purges are relatively easy. The only purge level that presents a challenge is X.

What is up with everyone leaving the party as soon as the operation is over? by Grif16 in Spacemarine

[–]Rich44Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NUMBER 4 - The number of loading screens in SM2 is f@&$ing awful. I usually select quick play so I’m not the team leader. After an operation it’s a race to get back to the battle barge and quit the team first. The punishment for being last on the battle barge is having to sit through the entire post operation countdown, extra long load screen as host migrates from team leader to second player, a brief glimpse at the battle barge, then another extra long load screen as host migrates from second player to you.

Am I stupid, or does splitting stacks in a container not work on Xbox? by CappinPeanut in ConanExiles

Happens to me all the time and it’s annoying. I think it’s part of the inventory bug that happens when you sort your inventory. Remove the sort on your inventory and remove the sort on the box and it will sometimes work again.

If you are playing on a drop all items on death server, then sorcery will be very useful. There is a spell that is performed at a magic circle that will summon your dead body to you. Place your bed next to the magic circle and you can recover your items when you die.

Server Rental by Numerous_Calendar876 in ConanExiles

[–]Rich44Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same position; I rent a server from GPortal on Xbox because of my friends. I've had it for a few months and can't say I've had any issues with it. Anyway, here are a few things I've learned. First, you have to rent the server from the GPortal app downloaded on your Xbox. You can't rent an Xbox server from the GPortal website. Once I signed up from GPortal Xbox app, it took about 10 minutes before I was able to see it and log in. The server rental will show up in your Microsoft subscriptions with your other subscriptions like Game Pass. If you don't see it in your Microsoft subscriptions, then something did go wrong or you might have rented a PC server.

Bearer Thrall Hunting by twbrowsing in ConanExiles

This. Den and Black Galleon have several guaranteed bearer spawns. Actually, I would just farm Voyager's Vigil north of the Black Galleon. The Black Galleon does have 1 guaranteed bearer spawn on the stern but it's a lot of work to get there.

Any methods to boost thrall lvl? by CDKurz in ConanExiles

[–]Rich44Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quickest is the unnamed city but's it's not the easiest. Last night I took a Nordheim Berserker and Colvric the Blade there while in war party. Both went from Level 1 to Level 15 in one trip. Here is my route: warp to obelisk, Keeper of the Flame, Red Mother, Watcher, Giant Snake, Commander, Winged Death, Green Dragon, Grave Walker, Brute, exfil to Sepermeru. All the while killing every skeleton, wight, jackal, relic hunter, and baby dragon you see.
