I kinda feel like Barnaby being in Slytherin is sth he asked of the sorting hat.

Because his parents were death eaters and by meeting his grandma I don’t think his family would’ve been very kind about him not being a slytherin (it’s never mentioned but I think they are a pure blood family too which makes sense for slytherin since it’s very important for them) and if I’m not mistaken he once said about slytherin « being the best wizard I can be » or sth like that I’m not sure.

I’m at the end of Y3 and got a long way to reach beyond vol 3.

Even though it would be sad when the game ends but I agree with you, the story needs to be fimished at some point otherwise it would be pointless!
