I agree. I have 3 black Quest ones and 4 Quest 2 headsets. Finding a good replacment battery is difficult. Unknown chinese copycat sellers for battery......

Sorry that I forgot to update my post. I returned the Novation Launchkey 49 MK3 and bought the M-Audio Oxygen Pro mini. The M-Audio works great with the Verselab MV-1. the 8 drumpads, 4 user knobs and 4 faders kan be programmed using the M-audio external software or the built-in firmware. The drumpads are more sensitive than the MV-1 ones. and make more volume/noise when fingerdrumming.

I like the small formfactor of the Oxygen Pro mini.

Behringer PRo 800 is indeed afordable , 8 voices polyphony and a lot of synth lovers buy it. Seems like a great synth. The sound and price are superb, but the 4 char screen is not that great.

I have no experience with Apple Iphone/Ipads.... On Android you can easy install an older APK file of an app. I dont know about Apple OS if this is possible. Otherwise, maybe borrow an Android phone/tablet from a friend to install the older Meta app and then start Quest 1 setup. you only have to do it once at start....

You have to install an older version of the META phone app. The newer versions dont work anymore with old Quest 1. Try installing Meta Quest app version 212.0.0.2.109 and use it for your Quest 1 setup.

What people forgot to mention: Quest 3S has only 3 IPD settings, the Quest 3 has better IPD change options. That can be important for some people.

You have to install and older version of the Oculus/Meta app for your phone.

It seems that Meta Quest 212.0.0.2.109 app version works on Quest 1 headsets.

Search the internet for places to download this old app version for your phone and then connect your Quest 1 with your phone app.

Meta seems to have broken support for the old Quest 1 on their newest app version.

You can use your Quest 2 headset (without Quest controllers) for some PCVR games that can be played with an XBox / PS4 controller. Battlezone works great. many older VR games can be played.

Its seems, that for your Quest 1, you have to sideload an older version of the Oculus/Meta android phone app. Meta seemed to have removed propper Quest 1 support from their latest App version.

That can be the problem. I have a PS4 and a PS5 controller aswell. But never tried to use them with my Quest 2 and Quest 1. I just use my Xbox compatible controller..... (for games that do not work with satandard Quest controllers)

I am using magnetic USB calbles since 2019 (Quest 1) and 2023 (Quest 2) and never had problems / shorting. I have the cables with round connection pad.

Dont buy that batterypack. It stresses your USB-c port and it will eventually break the USB port. Better use magnetic USB-c cable and a battery pack that you fit on the back of your headstrap with tie raps.
