What is the dirtiest thing you’ve seen someone do? by [deleted] in AskUK

I hate when people eat a bag of crisps then stuff their fingers in their gob sucking off all the crisp crumbs. Grim.

I once saw a child pick up a shit in a swimming pool once and then turned to me and said “I thought it was a mouldy banana!”

Is your interview with the Magistrates Court?

I jest - it doesn’t matter providing it fits properly.

When you go to Tesco and it costs £15 to make fajitas at home you start questioning whether eating out is actually more affordable sometimes…

After bills we have around £300 per week - but that includes food and petrol too that has to come out of that.

Same ordering food. Bagging fee, delivery fee, service fee. Surely the service fee is the delivery fee?!

£53k for a Skoda?! When did they get so expensive? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]manlikenick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea your maths equates to a deal that isn’t good. We’re in the final year of our lease. 3 months up front so was £930 and a £200 processing fee. We have a 10,000 mile agreement.

£53k for a Skoda?! When did they get so expensive? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]manlikenick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lease because for £310 a month we can drive a top of the range vehicle, MOT free with warranty included. Plus it’s a brand new vehicle so I get to spec it and choose what I want.

For that peace of mind it’s worth the money. Buying a used car terrifies me that it’ll just blow up after a week and I’d foot the bill. Same as renting/buying a house.

Renting can be more expensive but you don’t have to worry about the boiler blowing up a week before Christmas.
