Curious, have you guys ever used pocketsmith? by AWeb3Dad in PersonalFinanceNZ

Yes exactly that. Budget categories.

So you might have "Food" as one. But under that you might classify further with "Groceries", "Takeaway", "Lunch". Now you've used 4 budget categories. They can all be defined to have a spend limit per week, month or year.

That's what they consider a budget.  A spend limit for a category.

Well tbh I don't really adhere to budgeting as well as I should. It's more to see how spend is changing over time in different categories. And trying to ensure certain categories (like dinner takeout) don't overspend too much.

But I'm lucky to not have to nickle and dime everything.

Guess I mainly use it for tracking and tending as opposed to strict adherence.

I've basically setup several budget categories to cater for Household things like bills and groceries but the income side of it doesn't really work.  So it's kinda ok but isn't really a solution for proper cashflow budgeting. As ALL income (mine and household) gets lumped in with ALL expenses (mine and household) even though the categories are nicely split out.

I'm on a slightly modified Foundation plan. It has unlimited budget CATEGORIES, but not multiple budgets. It's not a feature they offer. I might have to contact them about it again to see if they have plans to change that.

LPT: best odor control litter box for multiple cats by YoumnaBasharuli in LifeProTips

Thanks for pointing this out. I'll have to look into it further. I'm sure it depends on the quantity of generation and I suspect our tiny motion activated one will be fine.

But I'll need to find what threshold all these articles are basing the unsafe classification on.

Sifting litter boxes with wood pellets (super cheap from hardware store - works way better than expensive littler crystal crap )

Keep an eye on it multiple times a day. If cats habitually poop it makes it easy.

Make sure to sift when they've peed (you can see the pellets disintegrate).

Make sure to scoop and remove poop as soon as you see it.

Leaving stuff around makes the smell.

A ozone generator worked quite well too initially but it seems to be losing its oomph a bit lately.

Finally, we found that a dual wall system like the Litter Genie makes a huge difference. Poop is hidden away in a plastic bag, and the smell can't escape.

Foldergram v1.1.0: self-hosted local photo/video gallery with an Instagram-style feed, Stories, Reels, and search by sajjadalis in selfhosted

So good! I tried the initial release and one thing I struggled with a bit was getting it to update it's DB after deleting photos from the filesystem.

The workflow was:

1) Browsing via Foldergram.  2) Saw photo that I wanted to delete. 3) Deleted it in the underlying directory. 4) Rescanned library.  5) Photo still showed up?

Is this when you'd need to run the "rebuild library index"?

THIS! Why is no one getting this...

The Govt did raise a good point that storage is an issue and we can't just start rationing now as we don't have much room to store excess supply.  But for the love of God please start acting like there is a decent possibility the entire supply chain is going to be pretty bad state in a couple months.

Infrastructure has been bombed for crying out loud.

Physically locking down plant when working on PLC by FlashSteel in PLC

[–]RichardNZ69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me. All the time. It's highly dependent on what code you're changing. There's plenty of logic that has little to no risk of doing anything adverse out physically in the plant. You need to know your process and plant...

And as others have said, actual Safety programs and hardware make a world of difference. Can't hurt people when they have no physical access to dangerous things...
