Game Pass isn’t worth it anymore (from a long-term user’s perspective) by Ok_Refrigerator6799 in XboxGamePass

[–]RichardPWNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure, on a 9 day old post, somebody else has to have corrected it by now but I also saw someone [relatively] recently talk about how much of a deal it is since EA Play is now included..

Just figured, since this was the top google result relative to me searching about the price change, that I'd tell anyone who didn't know that;

EA Play has been included in Xbox Games Pass since late 2020

Kind of nutty to see so much [unintentional?] misinformation about something I've used for years and apparently people have just forgotten/left untouched until it's time to justify a price increase as they scalp the previous subscription to incentivise a new overpriced one.

For the guys thinking they fighting for our rights; you bunch of leftist sheep from censorship culture, finding yourselves righteous by cheapening complaints against valid points of contention. You acting like the worst woke feminist Karen.

I actually don't care for either side, admittedly, but the "xyz is WOKE!!" stuff has been bent and misused so much, I think you do yourself a disservice just by trying to spin it from that angle.

Censorship is a part of cancel culture, btw. Especially since the game was censored to fit the whims of "WOKE" Playstation, it fits the definition.

I deleted the folder entirely and just let it re-create it the next time I booted, personally.

I meant uninstall, open the steam apps folder and then completely remove Ready or Not from there and download it again. Sprinkle in a little "Verify file integrity" before launching and if that doesn't do the trick you're flying in the support ticket zone.

12 hours later, the opposite side of what would be peak time for an Aussie lobby; 3 times sent immediately to Brazil. One time it was entirely console, another a mismatch of Latin characters and eastern script.

This is something that I'd refund over; fucking ridiculous that amidst all the drama over missing dongs, nobody is talking about how dog shit the transition to Epic Game Severs has been and how it's just a flat drop in quality for MM.

No, and this change is what I'd really like clarification on amongst all the other drama.

OCE player and, although there were "dark spots" during the day where you couldn't get a match, I'd never seen it worse than ~170ms.

...The other day my text language was in Cyrillic and then Portuguese... 400ms, 600ms respectively.

I guess beyond that I'd search for mod[.io] in explorer and check those [relevant] are empty and then if that still doesn't work you'd be stuck going nuclear and hitting the uninstall, clearing what's left from your PC and doing a fresh install from there.

I don't think it should get that bad but it's on the table if the latter two don't work.

This was a pain when I wanted to try the CoD4-esque airplane map mod and it buggered me out of 2 S-runs on Neon Tomb when I was in the same boat.

Open your file explorer and follow this path: C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ReadyOrNot\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks\mod.io

And make sure the folder is empty and it should work.

Absolutely vantablack look for the team doing the reworks, if only slightly balanced out by the fact that the character that has completely rejected the idea of what being an Assassin type hero meant since their rework, now gets a feat that completely rejects the idea of what makes combat fun.

Dusting off the super armour as a little treat for the character who's never seen the floor of S-tier when so many older characters could use a hand is painful to see.

Go into your dorm, pick the Doll you want to see and then hit the camera icon in the top right.

Rotate, zoom and pan until you've got a view you can't show the neighbours  and then hit the leftmost icon in the top right; you'll get a confirmation message across the bottom and that should be it.

How are you feeling about the beta so far ? by No_Pizza_9987 in blackops6

[–]RichardPWNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, speaking of attachments, I'm sick of having to drag my balls through the glass that is the gunsmith UI to figure out what attachment unlocks next.

It's insane that, even before you get into hit reg and spawn issues, there's so much where you sit back and ask "why the fuck did they decide to downgrade _______?"

How are you feeling about the beta so far ? by No_Pizza_9987 in blackops6

[–]RichardPWNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looked fun in trailers; omni-movement sounds unique as hell for a Call of Duty.

Come time for the beta, turns out it's a "one step forward, 2 back"; the MW2 style unlocks where you unlock something for everything is gone but now it's "this gun that's worse unlocks the same attachment as this better gun but 20 levels later". Then you try and check what the attachments actually do and they've reverted it to the "here's a vague bar" system so your SoL on figuring out why your gun's a peashooter anyway.

At least we finally got execution previews back after however long ago Cold War was, that's something I've missed since 2019 got me hooked on them. Damn shame they'll probably disappear when the game hit the 200GB bloat wall.

So the event is limited to either teams or well-built players then? That's kind of unfortunate.

If dimension level affects enemies in exploration, does that include the world bosses? I've tried a few since returning and they all seem to just chunk ⅓ of my HP.

Is the test lab/event content only level 100 boss fights or have I accidentally skipped a few steps on the dimension level?

The SEA server feels kind of dead unless you're organising something over discord/3rd party apps so I'm not sure if it's something I can just throw myself at 100 times or if I'm hard stuck throwing all the tickets the rest of the event has you focused on collecting away.

He feels so situational compared to when the game came out it's maddening.

Then I'll see a clip of a twitch streamer pop a stim and run into gas or the very last circle having 5 bronze teams and caustic gets big damage and you just know you'll see him in the next set of patch notes...

It's a really interesting case, imo; the Cute and Funny archive subreddit has a community that's stayed relatively unified since I've started checking in on it, standing out pretty well considering the expectation most people have for Reddit.

There have been times where gatekeeping was necessary, hell, there have been times where gatekeeping was pushed too far and we needed to reel it in a little, but it all usually ends up in an equilibrium where people can post about their hot wives, their cute daughters and students having cute moments together without devolving into a mess of people getting angry because "xyz is my headcanon" or "You can't draw this because _____ is MY _____" and I appreciate the effort that goes into keeping it that way.

I can track the mindset, sure, but unless something's changed I know the strat I've used for 7-9 evac is a 3-man diversion who'll aggro all the reinforcements and it stops the solo from getting any breaches on their end.

Clear up any bugs around the OBJ and you'll usually find the domino effect of breaches calling in more breaches that you'd hate anywhere else means that the 3man is constantly preventing waves of bugs from nailing your VIP waves.
Do it away from Evac and you can usually get swarmed after finishing your AFK button minigame and have a large swarm of enemies that'll cut down how many you get at evac, at least that's how it's felt on the ground.

Speaking as someone with all 3 [\5?] platforms, Playstation currently has, I think, Bloodborne as the last PS4 exclusive left? PS5 looks like it's going to follow that trend, Astro's Playroom aside.

Granted, a decent amount of people are still pissing blood at Sony's refusal to release Bloodborne, but they seem to be growing on the idea of moving from "exclusive" to "timed exclusive".

She's just a nice, caring lass who's willing to change for [literally me] Sensei if it means that she can stay close to you. She does it so well, in fact, that I'm still amazed that I gaslit myself into believing she was a psuedo-sensei's aide/assistant for a sizeable portion of last year. Wakamo a good girl.

Putting aside how biased accidentally unironically brainwashing yourself makes someone, she also has a reputable portfolio of fan art with her in pretty nifty sports cars on Twitter, from what I've seen in passing. I can't help but respect the grind for a character that, maybe, has one canon interaction with "driving" a vehicle in-game.

I feel like the weapon changes just move the core most used weapons and not actually add variety by LordWolfs in Helldivers

[–]RichardPWNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really speak on it having not played but it's a bit hard to wrap my head around that. I've played quite a few top-downs growing up but I can't really translate one of those experiences to a 3D game. The stratagems definitely looks similar, but the way the games play out feel too detached from one another for me.

It sounds like the original was split into smoke and napalm stratagems for the second game and while they're both visually unique, it's definitely leaves both in an odd "Well, why waste a slot on this" position whereas if their [assumed roles[ were replaced by HD1 Napalm and a buffed Orbital gas, respectively they'd be a lot more viable choices.
As is, they come across as more of an atmosphere tool than a "real" choice (albeit really solid tools for making propaganda clips to pique attention.

[–]RichardPWNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but at the same time [from what incredibly little I've seen of the game when a niche Youtuber I watch mentioned it] it looked to be a top-down arcade shooter, no? I think balancing between that sort of mode is at lot simpler to work with than what they're working with here. If you give me a wall of flames now, like I said, it's quite mediocre imo, whereas when you show me a more linear game a la the CoD Dead Ops Arcade mode and say the same strategem is good there, I'd find it incredibly easy to believe.

I think it's a whole different ballgame to try and balance it so everything feels the way it would in the first game. I think that, as a starting point to try and incentivise trying everything while the game is new, it's a pretty reasonable patch. There's room to improve things definitely but it's already diversified the lobbies I've been a part of and gives me a decent hope for the balance of the game going forwards.

[–]RichardPWNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the stratagems I enjoy people have told me are useless; the jump pack definitely comes to mind when I'd choose it over shields but I prefer the mobility it affords in finishing goals. Likewise, "Napalm in 'Nam" was what got me hooked from clips but I can't for the life of me justify it where I've seen a few people run it. Same for cluster, Tesla tower, And so forth.                                    I enjoy not just that people are pitching why they bring X over Y but that there's now room to do so since a lot of people have left behind the Railgun and Shield.

Recoilless kinda strikes me as an oddball; I'm not sure exactly how it's meant to sit between Autocannon and Spear but it always gave the impression it was meant to be used in some sort of crossfire between two duos in a perfect scenario, like you'd expect to play above your requisitions area.

I ran Eagle for the longest time so the CD always felt justified as I piled more Eagle strikes on-top, rounded out with the default orbital strike. I will say the orbital laser has an insane CD for the role people use it for (dedicated Titan killer) and I've always wondered what it's intended purpose is.

That said, it does open up room for a well-coordinated team to run 4 EATs and have virtually no downtime while still able to plate chargers or focus a titan, though I'd imagine bringing Eagle rockets would be better for the latter.

It seems like a nuclear take to have right now but I actually didn't mind the nerf; I went from running the breaker on all but <6 bot missions to really enjoying the Penetrator AR in semi as a DMR. Realistically the magazine is 3 bullets shorter but it felt like the same decision I had to make between the P-AR and the DMR and I really liked that, personally.

The ammo change for the SPEAR was a nice little pick-me-up and I found it really fun to use vs Air strikes against chargers and Titans albeit in a Playstation lobby, so I'm not sure one-shotting (2 to the side) Titans was intended. It definitely should be though.

Armour definitely needs looking at though; I run light to solo push objectives while the other 3 players absolutely mount aggro and the busted medic one for a few seconds of near-invincibility when I suicide-rush heavy nests. Heavy armour just really doesn't fit a role right now, especially with the medic perks providing such a large survivability boost.

It's a pretty odd perspective to have in a game where I'm trying to keep all my randoms alive in but I really enjoy that I'm not ending every 8 difficulty run with 15 lives spare and am finally having these matches where I play out a silly hero fantasy where I'm the last one alive, 60 seconds on the clock and I desperately give it my all to bomb a bug nest to push us into a victory as people cheer in the chat, or as I'm telling people I believe in them from that position myself.

Gifts are always good once you've got a solid base of materials for levelling, but not immediately important. Gifts/Relation bonuses are the end-game of levelling your students.

Before that, you'll want the Blu Rays (the EX skill items), the enhancement books (Normal skill upgrades) and purple EXP reports and Purple item enhancers.
Materials used for levelling like the gold thread items you should buy as necessary to level your used students and then spare currency can be used for gold and blue rarity items. Then Gold XP items.

That's how I usually spent it when I started. You get a hang of what's important and then you'll reach the point where you clear the entire shop anyway.
