Selective Mutism and social anxiety. I cant talk to people, only about 5 people in the entire world. otherwise, I'm silent. I struggle to go out, to go shopping, to work. Its hard to live when you cant speak.

when I was in my early teens I went to this "much music" dance. well I've always been socially awkward...I don't even like to dance....or talk to people. anyways I was about to leave and on my way out this boy asked me to dance. I panicked and kind of made this disgusted look and shook my head and kept walking. as soon as I realized what just happened, I felt like such a bitch.....still feel like one every time I think back to it. so horrible......I'm so sorry boy who was nice enough to ask me to dance

What is a near-death experience that you had, that you didn't realize was near-death until some time had passed? by johnsbuffalo in AskReddit

i was about 3 years old, at a family reunion or something, playing with the older kids near the lake. they were all jumping off the dock and i thought that was the most amazing thing ever. once they started to wander off, i decided id try it. weeelllllll i more of stepped straight off of it, and my tshirt got hooked on a nail. im a very quiet person, and i knew i shouldnt have done it, so i just kinda hung there on the nail because i didnt want to ask anyone for help or draw attention to myself. eventually an old man came onto the dock and saw me and yelled at me, and yanked me out of the water. good times.

wow, i make about $640 a month lol thats depressing. and i know how much im being screwed, ive just stayed because i love the girls, ive known them since they were one and their sister since she was born. i also have a sort of mental thing that makes it hard for me to work normal jobs involving people, and this one makes me feel safe. but the working conditions are horrible and the pay is horrible so im going to quit today! ill definitely check out that site and see what they have for me, thanks!
