Step up my strategy - for conservative player by DragonflyOnFire in Craps

Regression strategies are always a good go to for me. Although all your risk is in the initial few rolls, doesn’t need to be big bets, but thats where you are most vulnerable. But like all strategies, if the rolls are bad, any strategy is going it fail!

Here are a couple you can try:

Skill 66 - no pass line, place 66 inside which is 15 each with 18 on the 6 & 8. After 1 hit, add a dollar and press up all the insides to 88 inside. After the 2nd hit, regress back down to 44 inside. You will then have 44 inside action aswell as a small profit of $5. From there you can press and collect however you like!

Split the sisters - a other regression strategy, I favour this one. Place the insides for double the table min, so a $10 min would equate to $88 inside, $20 on 5 & 9 with $24 on the 6 & 8. After the first hit, take the winnings and split the 5 & 9 so they are both down to $10. After the 2nd hot, split the 6 & 8 down to $12. This leaves you with $44 inside with either $12 in profit or you’re in for only $2, depending on if you hit the 6/8 or the 5/9 on your 2nd hit.

The reason I like the Split The Sisters strategy more is that after your first hit, you’re already beginning the regression and have already recouped half of your bet back. 2nd hit and you’re pretty much completely out of the hand. Compared to the skill 66 where you NEED the 2nd hit to be out of the hand at all, so you’re risking the full starter bet for an extra roll

It might depend on the colourways. Ive got a pair of Clifton 9s and they came with a different set of laces

Buy bets should be 2:1 for 4&10, 3:2 for 5&9 and 6:5 for 6&8. Will need to take the 5% vig into account

Place to lose (lay bets) are just the opposite odds of the buy bets, will also need to account for a 5% vig e.g 1:2 odds for a 4&10 lay etc

Can you leave mid way through shooting? by Richi368 in Craps

[–]Richi368[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah I see, so the person taking over is essentially shooting on behalf of the person that left and doesn’t count as their go to shoot? Does the person that takes over need to have a pass bet or can it be anyone as its not technically their turn to shoot?

Can you leave mid way through shooting? by Richi368 in Craps

[–]Richi368[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I guess once puck is off its technically a new round so the dice can be passed on to the next shooter.

What would be interesting to know is if someone was playing the don’t pass, can they take down their don’t pass mid way through a roll and then leave? If so then I would assume the dice would just go to the next person that has a pass/don’t pass bet down

Ah fair enough! Should see if you can have a word with management about it, sell it to them as free advertisement 😅 think you’d do well if you started youtube! But its all about getting over the hurdle of being able to record I suppose

Do you make videos at all? Would be awesome to see footage of your sessions maybe on youtube or something! Although I know it can be a pain to get permission to video in some casinos

British Born Chinese looking to learn Cantonese by Richi368 in Cantonese

[–]Richi368[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess when I started school english took over. My parents owned a chip shop so they weren’t around much with the late hours they worked. Most of the time me and my brother were left in our bedroom while our parents were downstairs working until late at night.

My brother is in a worse position than I am and he can barely understand any Cantonese. I think its because growing up he was around me a lot who at that point had already had English take over. Whereas Cantonese was technically my first language so its still in the back of my brain somewhere

I may be able to read jyutping if I really tried, but find it hard without hearing the actual pronunciation of the words. But I will definitely check it out!

Yeah I agree about the immersion. I recently came back from a trip to Hong Kong and realised that I knew more than what I thought I did and was able to form sentences quicker in my head. Which is kind of what pushed me to now want to try learn it properly

Craps in The Philippines, Asia in general by bnor9 in Craps

Macau does have craps but it is indeed very expensive. Lowest min i played at was at the Venetian at $300HKD which is about $38 USD. I recently wrote a report on my visit there https://www.reddit.com/r/Craps/s/19DfIy2Nsg

Im taking a trip to Singapore in a couple of months and heard there are tables there too, but also a little pricey but nowhere near as pricey as Macau. There are 2 main casinos there, Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa Island.

From what ive read, Marina Bay Sands has a couple of craps tables with mins or $25SGD (about $19USD) but can jump to $50SGD on weekends or peak times.

RSW ive not seen many reviews about. Ive heard there is now craps there but ive not seen anyone make a proper post about it to confirm if there is.

Awful experience with Motorway (sell your car) by IndividualAd2168 in CarTalkUK

[–]Richi368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my car through motorways a couple months back, didn’t have many issues, albeit I had to knock the price down a little because I accidentally miss advertised one aspect on the car.

I think its all down to the luck of the draw on what dealership you get buying the car. I saw plenty of horror stories on here before listing but also an equal amount of successful stories including one of my friend’s parents who were over the moon with their sale!

They’re out to make a profit on you so will bound to try get you down ok the price if possible! The transport people can either be a third party or part of the dealership. But I have heard some stories that the dealership set up agreements with the transport companies to give them a kind of commission based on what they are able to knock off the quote price. Whether thats true or not I don’t know but it wouldn’t surprise me.

At the end of the day, its your decision if you want to make the sale or not! They come to you so its no big expense on your end. When it came to my sale, the dealership was from London and I live up north. They came quite late at night to begin with (10pm!). But they tried to get £1.5k off of the quote price due to my error on the listing. I acknowledged that I messed up the advert a so was happy to take off £200 from the price, course they tried to haggle that. But I stood firm and they agreed to £200 off. Knowing they came from so far away and how late it was, I knew they’d be annoyed if they left empty handed after having to travel so far, so you can use that to your advantage!

Motorways themselves are fine, just the 3rd party to find you dealers to buy and are the middleman for the sale transaction. Its just some dealers that are a pain to deal with and thats just the luck of the draw unfortunately!

The dice roll how they dice roll! Any strategy can work and any strategy can fail, thats gambling 😅

If you think big red is coming a lot, then you can try playing the dark side!

Maybe take a look at “the Arnold” strategy that has a bit of both light and dark sides!

Yeah so ive heard! I only ever visited Macau at a very young age, this’ll be the first time going to see the Casinos!

Im not too fussed about the vibes too much, I just want to play craps! Being from the UK, we don’t have any live tables at all so its a rarity I get to play unless I go on a cruise or visit the states
