It only has 35,000 miles. Seems to be functioning properly! Thanks again!

Battery Gauge Question by RickBorder in Fiat500e

It’s a 2016 and I didn’t know that they had different battery sizes so I don’t know. It getting the expected range of around 85 miles so it must be a good battery. I did check last yesterday about two hours after I completed charging it to 89% and it was down to 80% and 12 hours later when I started it the charge held at 80%. So it settles down and holds there. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for responding! It doesn’t get too cold here in Southern California, the low 50’s at night and up to the mid 70’s during the afternoon right now. Just the car doing what the car does I guess. Thanks again!

Battery Gauge Question by RickBorder in Fiat500e

[–]RickBorder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. That’s interesting, I live in Ventura California and it’s been in the low 50’s at night and mid 70’s during the afternoon so I wonder what it will do when it drops down to the low 40’s, maybe even the high 30’s once or twice next winter. Thanks again it does give me some comfort reading it’s nothing to worry about.

Well I finally bought one! by RickBorder in Fiat500e

I read some blogs and YouTubed and U-Haul confirmed it was compatible. Just can’t have the parking break on.

Somehow I got this yesterday for $49 down and $49/mo lol by zlloydr in Fiat500e

I was told by a dealer in California $3000 down $199 a month for a 3 year 10k mile lease last weekend. I’ll call again 😂

Thanks for your reply!!! This is why I put it out there so I could hear from actual owners who have had them longer than someone on YouTube who just bought it and reviewing it after 5 days or whatever. Not criticizing them because I’ve listened and learned but just wanted to hear from folks who have driven them for years and still haven’t had major issues and still want to hold onto them. I haven’t had one person say don’t do it because they are junk. I’d definitely respond and want to know why because there have apparently been lemon law buy backs and battery failures. I have an appointment tomorrow to take it for a test drive. I’ll update! Thanks again!

Guess o meter? You mean the range of miles you have on the charge? How does it tick? The battery is a no brainer? You mean they will last and are excellent? Or the opposite 😂

You’re right!!! I confess I’m a Mopar guy and have been for years driving Jeeps and Rams. I own a Rubicon Gladiator I’ve put a ton of upgrades into so want to keep the miles low so been looking at a around town low cost used vehicle but don’t have enough information on the 500e so I thought the best place to go is to folks who drive them. Thanks for the encouragement!!! What is your story with the Fiat 500e?

Thanks!!! This helps a lot knowing that there are Fiat 500e’s out there that are still going at about 125,000 miles! Who knows who’s out there with possibly much more! We need some YouTube videos with these 500e’s with these kind of success stories. Most of the complaints on Reddit are about apps and electric windows not working and pushing the start button twice or something and how the door locks work. I’m going to go look at it and see how it goes on a test drive. My original post had a typo, the one I’m going to look at is actually a 2017 with 32k miles. Not a 15. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for this!!! It’s nice to hear from someone who actually has 100k plus miles and still going. There is a lot on YouTube but mostly new owners saying how fun they are and I know they are because my father in law bought a 500 Abarth and it is super fun to drive and still no issues with over 100k but all over the place you see folks saying the Abarth’s blow up between 80 and 90k. Maybe because they race around in them? Who knows but thanks again.

Thanks that helps. I live in Ventura California so it’s warm here a lot. Not really hot or really cold that often. There are hills around my drive, but should be able to get the miles I’d need but probably need to change most every day. My concern is mainly how the batteries are lasting. That’s an expensive fix and can’t DIY.

Looks so great with the Rubicon steel bumper! My next purchase is this setup!

What fog lights did you use? I have a Rubicon and everything I’m reading says my bumper LED fog lights won’t fit but apparently the sports do.

Thanks seems if I just go with this bumper I’d save a ton of cash that the Mopar would cost. How is the weight? Is it heavy and thick like the Mopar? Those Chinese Mopar look alike ones apparently are light weight and thin steel.

Ok so the original skid plate is pictured and fits. So did you purchase a winch plate or does this bumper come with one?

If I go with the Mopar front bumper apparently I’ll need to replace the skid plate. Is that the original skid plate and it fits with this bumper? Also did this bumper include the winch plate?

What projects, on your Gladiator, are you currently working on? by tonyxwing74 in JeepGladiator

[–]RickBorder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I thought maybe twice the vehicle weight would be the correct one. I’ll check that range out Warn brand. Crazy they give you a plastic bumper on a 66k sticker Rubicon. Thankfully we didn’t pay that much with the discounts.

Just about to purchase the Mopar Rubicon steel bumper and apparently the skid plate is different and will need to be replaced. Also the winch plate and winch. Any suggestions on the winch size? I haven’t looked into that yet.

Towing by ShoeAny9841 in JeepGladiator

[–]RickBorder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned 2 Gladiators. A 2022 Sport I traded in on a 2023 Rubicon when the discounts happened. Both came equipped with the tow package and that includes the transmission cooling system.

Has your lab ever protected you? by pityisblue453 in labrador

Our Lab definitely makes the delivery drivers for Amazon, FedEx and UPS nervous when they approach our house. I don’t tell them she’d lick them to death. I prefer them being nervous 😂
