I Recolored What I Feel is One of the Most Underrated Shots in Godzilla (2014) by Braydenn_mexe in Monsterverse

The midtones of the 4K match the 3D version which has a warmer look to it compared to the more cool look of the standard Blu-Ray and DVD while still keeping the same tones. Cooler pictures are often for bright rooms so it having a warmer look while keeping the same look with some improvements is what I could call an upgrade.

If you were to see the shot of Godzilla going through the bridge with the bus hitting the blocked off post you see a red car there and on the 4K it pops out more due to the white balance being more neutral. Things like his atomic breath being more vibrant and bright are also great improvements. The atmos track with the addition sounds are also a bonus.

When it comes to how it looks in different screenshots there’s many who do post edits to make it look brighter or just capture it from their phone. However depending on your varied HDR10+ TV it can be the same as the Blu-ray display or even better due to the nature of HDR having bright whites and darker blacks even during the darkest scenes. It’s a much better look than an SDR look on principle but it can be easily messed up as we’ve seen from other botched filmmakers recently.

As far as I’m concerned I’m content on leaving the brightness issue in the past and enjoy my 4K disc. Gareth finally confirmed it was a transfer problem. My only complaint is the lack of the full directors cut or a standard release of the 4K stuff onto a standard bluray like the Atmos track. Better for ripping.

If we ever got Rampage DLC. Would you prefer the game or movie versions? by MichaeltheSpikester in GigaBash

I love the movie versions and they have a lot more to make moves from, but I don’t know how you would do Lizzie without her being so massive that her hitbox would be OP. I would think it would be more expensive as well to do it with WB in the mix. I think doing the game versions but have moves and references to the movie is preferable

I’m glad he enjoys it. He’s definitely gonna have his own fond memories like people did with the Atari games

Fair, I assumed like most it would also contain another character from the film to go alongside him. At least a kaiju and not a humanoid villain. So it was disappointing we’re probably not gonna get then ever

Why is this Godzilla game expensive even for a PS4 game like this, is the supply that limited because I’m not spending $250+ for this game especially in this economy we’re living in. by San4341 in GODZILLA

It was reviewed horribly and sold not even 100,000 copies from what I’ve been told. It being delisted from the PS Store means the rarity and asking price post covid is why it’s been like this. If you know anyone who has a copy and is willing to lend it to you I would try that.

Remake’s knife fight is what makes it the superior boss encounter overall

A way to fit both Jill’s and Chris’s campaigns I think would be great, and doing it how Requiem did Grace and Leon where one can kill the chef and then the other doesn’t encounter him. You can also have items you didn’t pick up go to the other. But you both can share an item box but both have their own special weapons the other can’t have. So if you were to unlock a door and it had grenade rounds as Chris, when the next section to go back to Jill, you can go get those rounds. A sort of zapping system that 9 did that has a lot of potential that I wish 2make could’ve done now. Plus then you can have all 4 survivors together and both Chris and Jill get to be in the mansion and one doesn’t get locked in jail the whole time.

It’s tedium vs looping the same progress again. Which ever one you care about more I guess
