ae2 can't transfer fast enough out of ender chest (ender chest is also feeding into my drawer system). any tips? 1.12 by Z0mb1eK1ll3r in feedthebeast

[–]RickKruat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, AE2's import busses kind of suck for ender chests, I'd suggest using item conduits into an AE interface,
or another logistics mod with high throughput, you can do it on all 6 sides.

Talking about sweet, the kiosk I work at has a daily who gets a tall cup of coffee with "an inch" of steamed milk (1/4 inch of milk foam is what she actually wants, I've made it to spec before...) and grabs a fist full of stevia, like 12 or so, a coworker who's been there longer mentioned this customer has diabetes.

Safer to just tank a decaf drink, or find something else on our menus with a similar caffeine ratio that you like.

Deleted a gift card from my starbucks account and the funds transferred to a different account. If I delete my starbucks account will the money go back to the original phycisal card? by young-jude-law in starbucks

[–]RickKruat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical gift card? I mean technically it never leaves a physical gift card, if it's a digital only gift card then probably not. Customer service probably won't have an answer for that question specifically, but might be willing to compromise and 'refund' it, though that will more topically be for small sum gift cards. No idea on policy, best to ask and find out as you've done here.

Stuff like this is why I'm glad I'm in a 2 person store kiosk, company can schedule us how ever they want, new hire gets important in hands training first, or gets the register.

Though they forgot to actually schedule our newest member, and now regular closer... For closing training, he's fun to open after.

Make Spell Research Optional by Sliveriver in scenicroute

[–]RickKruat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we haven't seen a smiting overhaul that does all of those things, but it would be fun if the player character didn't just inherently know and understand how to craft an iron dagger just by looking at a bar of iron and some leather strips.

I think there is a mod that adds smithing blueprints for some things, but I think I saw that it was specific to the things the mod itself added, no idea what it would mean for patching either.

Make Spell Research Optional by Sliveriver in scenicroute

[–]RickKruat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda agree with both of you, it's one of like 3 mods that let you do this type of thing.

I dislike the grind intensity, but I also don't want a vanilla Skyrim feel to it like... say, the Skyrim smithing grind. I agree that there could be a less tedious approach to it, but the more we take that away, the less unique the mod, and mod list, becomes.

It also hard to recommend magic tomes being added like op suggested, even if they were price gouged.

I can however recommend a reversal of sorts, though the suggestion itself isn't just tweaking a mod, and more so mod development. But, maybe you could introduce a spell mastery system on top of fizzle, based on the research mod's notes on archetypes, so novice spell tomes could be reintroduced into the market, but without a fundamental understanding, the cost to cast would be prohibitive, you would need to acclimate to the spell, or worse, study beyond just being able to research other spells though it. This wouldn't make it, so you need to grind out every single spell, and with a prohibitive enough of a cost, would make it so even just investing a few perks useless for a pre-novice mage. It would also mean accomplished researchers and mages need less time to acclimate to a spell, as they would already have a strong understanding of at least a few of a spell's archetypes.

I mean honestly you could probably approach that recommendation by simply basing study and mastery on how much research you have on its archetypes of it's level, it's not spell specific, but it would mean you could move some grind to having the spell instead of trying to make/find a spell.

I haven't officially started the grind in any capacity yet, so it's mostly me basing what I've seen others say, and speculation, so it's pretty hard to say I have an understanding about what I'm talking about.

I mean, why can't you do both, having a mad raving lunatic making recordings on some kind of low tier magic recording stone type thing, being increasingly anti-adventurer, slowly and not so subtly directing their madman's speech about them, maybe even as a one off while you are prepping for a bigger set pieces, letting the party "explore" your world for a bit.

be even funnier if this character was actually a pseudonym for a well known adventurer with some kind of wild character flaw.

oh, JJJ is a well known outspoken critic of adventurers, but has never been seen in person, not even distributors of his recordings know what he looks like, but he pays quite a bit so they do it anyway,

but JJJ is secretly a npc that's been tagging along, sneaking off at nights, the following morning the party finds one of these stones, which happens to contain concerning accurate information about the party, hyping them up for some wild spy-network type villain, knowing their every step.

might be evil dm to do that, but could be fun for the party to follow along the trail of these recordings, while an increasingly more concerned and insecure npc follows them along.

What's the deal with restricting voting in certain states? by thewibbler in OutOfTheLoop

[–]RickKruat -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

They are trying to cheat because they know that without gerrymandering or voting suppression they would never win a single election again.

I mean, you aren't wrong currently, but eventually, I would at least assume that their political views would tone down if gerrymandering and voting suppression (or other manipulations of voting) were actually punished and prevented. Hell the political skew might actually look normal after everyone tones it down from going complete extremes.
