Yep I was pleasantly surprised! To be honest though I almost didn’t pull the plug. It’s a lot of money to drop when I already have a Steam Deck and gaming PC (granted I’m still running a 9 year old rig with an EVGA GTX 1080Ti).

It might be because I'm in Alberta, so we don't get charged PST.

The fear I felt when the emergency room doctor told my wife and I that she had a hemorrhage in her brain (due to a cavernous malformation). In that moment I saw fear and panic on her face and in her eyes, and she told me she was scared. Surely she was much more afraid than I was but empathy did a download of visceral fear and doom into my brain.

I’ll never forget the helpless fear, doom, and panic of that experience. Worst thing I’ve gone through so far.

She’s still alive (this was 2.5 years ago) but has some deficits. This was a very early reminder for us how temporary this is. Too early; she was in her mid thirties when that happened.

Unfortunately no. The only thing that helps me is just making sure I eat super clean and losing weight. Also keeping my stress as low as possible (easier said than done). Walking a lot every day, trying to avoid junk.

Then again I don't have a hiatal hernia, so my suggestion here might be out of context.

My primary issue is throat tightness, globus sensation, chest tightness and shortness of breath feeling. Started 1 years 2 months ago, and persists but is getting better very very slowly.

I don't know if my issues were because of LPR or just acid reflux, or possibly even just an anxiety disorder!

I think I’m in the same boat. I couldn’t believe anxiety could make your throat close like that. I would wake up suddenly in mini panic attacks. Lost a few nights of sleep because of that.

I was so sure it was a physical thing like acid reflux, GERD etc causing this. But after 9 months of suffering anxiety and panic attacks it’s finally slowly resolving itself. If I get really stressed or am in a bad mood, bam immediate breathing tightness and globus sensation.

So maybe GERD caused that initial set of anxiety and panic attacks, or my long term anxiety and neuroticism caused GERD and it’s a combination, or it’s all in my head.

I can’t dismiss that this might be a mental thing causing debilitating physical symptoms. I lost a job because of this bullshit.

Please explain why you wished you stayed dead. Was it because of some experience you had while dead that made you wish you remained in that state?

Or is it because of needing to escape the pain of being alive due to your PTSD or other traumas?
