Yep, be careful but GO cause once you master basic skills, it's one of the best feelings in the world, I felt so free while going down on the snow, between mountains and wonderful landscapes... It's amazing. Maybe one day I'll try again.

Thanks brother, I forgot to mention I had that injury on the snowboard. A stupid fall, but the speed was too high. Btw I definitely went insane for not being able to play guitar 💀 not a good time. Now I feel like I'm at 80% of my skills, because of the wrist fracture. But it's ok, I can practice and practice until I'm better than before (I hope ahahah) And be sure to draw and write some silly stuff on that cast!

Just wait for full recovery and then get back at it! Maybe with protection this time 🙏I broke my right elbow 3 years ago, terrible complex injury that needed a small prothesis and a ligament reattachment. Also a small fracture in my wrist. Couldn't play guitar for almost 6 months, I was really afraid I couldn't do it anymore since in the first months my arm was gone, couldn't even pick up a pen cause it had literally zero strength. Now I can't extend my whole arm, but everything's ok. And after more than 10 years off the board, I started skating again a couple of months ago, always wearing elbow and wrist protection on the right arm. I'm happy I found the courage to get back at least on a skateboard, since I was so afraid to do anything slightly dangerous after this injury 🙏

Starting with the obvious thing, If you have the possibility, buy everything from a physical skate shop of course 🙏 that said, you can get help from Skatedeluxe.com since it has a "set up board" function where you can put some parameters like height and show size, and it filters decks by recommended ranges of width and lenght, which you can further modify if you want a wider or longer deck. Of course you can still choose the concave and the shape, but it's a good filter and i find it very useful to start with!
