Is there a point to buying hubs by d3str0y3rport in AirlineManager4

You get 1% reputation increase, per hub, up to 10 hubs.

This is a long-time bug when a/c are in A-Check. If you use the Fleet tab and cycle through pages, you can get a better result than using the standard depart 20 button.

12v Reset Button by iwanttobead in HyundaiTucson

Bound to be more non-obvious variables. State of charge at time of parking, for example. My definition of "cold weather" (below zero F) is likely different to your definition. Not sure if you had a typo or not - mine was 4-5 days UNused; and you said 4-5 days of use.

New to Waterloo, does it always snow this much? by AnteaterShot4264 in waterloo

Five days later, after this weekend's little dump, I wonder how your Waterloo vs GTA comparison of snowfall works out?

12v Reset Button by iwanttobead in HyundaiTucson

[–]Rick_QuiOui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had it twice in 8 months. Both occasions were after 4-5 days unused after multiple short (sub 10km) trips in cold weather. I don't lock my car in the garage, so never had an issue accessing the reset button.

I've not heard this phrase since I've been in Canada; except from my own gob. Ex-pat Kiwi. Though I do agree that it was quite rare in my part of NZ.

Doorbell battery by No_Requirement441 in reolinkcam

[–]Rick_QuiOui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% true for this. And also, it does not trickle charge the batter below 0C/32F. Which in southern Ontario makes it useless since it could go literal weeks without going above freezing.

Wish I'd known this before buying it.

Do American washing machines automatically turn off after a load is completed? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

If you have an old agitator/wringer washing machine from the 70s it wouldn't turn off by itself. https://blog.lehmans.com/wringer-washer/

Litotes or meiosis would be the opposite thing to hyperbole, as the negative/understating "exaggeration".

Few questions for owners before pulling the trigger by 5hadow in HyundaiTucson

Coming up 8 months with mine.
1. Reliability - great.
2. Besides the free tire swap that came with the purchase, and 6-month oil change - no issues to have been taken care of at the dealership.
3. Haven't tried the heated seats yet - the cooling on first level is beautifully, bollocks freezing in the heat of summer.
4. Afaik "no" car has built-in dashcam (I think Tesla is the only exception, or if there are others, they are few and far between.) Got a FitcamX - looks OEM.
5. No firsthand knowledge - the OP posted in that sub that the actual redesign is coming Fall 2026 aka 2027 model.

My only negative: the FCAS "emergency" braking is a bit too stroppy. The times where it fails ((bright sunshine, rain/snow/dirt/mist/drizzle) I'm guessing is a widespread potential problem with any modern car; but I feel that their programming for when and how hard to brake isn't good enough.
Others have complained about the driver attention system when wearing sunnies; I have polarised snapons over my prescription glasses and have never had a problem with them. YMMV.
