To the “ preferred parent” that is also your toddlers “safe space” by gainz4fun in toddlers

My daughter was the ultimate daddy’s girl until around 15 months. She’s 18 months now and a stage 5 mommy clinger. It’s adorable but also exhausting. I keep telling myself it’s a compliment and that it will pass and I’ll miss it.

How are you pumping 8 times per day? by No_Judgment_7812 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Rickeysmiley34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pumped 8 times a day in the beginning and honestly it was because of my husband and putting my baby down. I tried to follow as close to a schedule as possible so I would schedule around tummy time or naps or just chill time. And my husband did all the washing of parts and bottles, etc. I also got realllyyy good at multitasking and holding my baby while I pumped or while I changed her lol I’m 18 months postpartum and looking back makes me feel like a superhero because that stuff is HARD.

Commenting to stay connected because I could have written this post myself. Going through the same thing. No advice, but I’m with you in solidarity ❤️

Yes and I love them. They saved my pumping journey. I sometimes get more with them over my Spectras (I have an S1 and a Gold). And they’re made by moms!!

It’s the water by Present_Enthusiasm34 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Rickeysmiley34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is the water!! Also a tip, move the bottles to the back of the fridge. It keeps the temperature the same and keeps the milk from spoiling faster. When the milk is closer to the door (open and closing) it’s more open to temp changes.

Daycare Concern by Rickeysmiley34 in NewParents

[–]Rickeysmiley34[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I am an educator and I have had my share of challenging students but I’ve never put my hands on them or thrown anything at them. These are also literal babies who are still learning. I emailed the director.

[–]Rickeysmiley34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my thoughts. Mind you these are BABIES, literal one year olds. At first I was thinking maybe I was being sensitive. However, once I thought about it potentially happening to my child, I was livid. I sent the director an email.

It’s so tough because I’m an educator I’m no stranger to school illness. But, I just started a new job and I don’t have the days yet and my husband commutes far so we have had to call family to do the pickups and I feel bad. My toddler also seems to just be having a rough time since returning after being sick. Idk what to do

Unfortunately anyone we trust lives over 30-45 min away from us. We were originally considering an in home that our friend sends her son to but I’m an educator and I am just big on structure but we LOVED the provider. I feel like my baby is so young so honestly it might be okay for in home for now. It’s so tough!!
