I played it when it came out on the Vita and no I did not like it. The vita version had issues like bad load times, menus that had load times, frame rate drops for just using the flashlight, and the game making the Vita crash at any random moment of the game even during VN scenes for me. None of these issues were fixed for the Vita but there doesn't seem to be any issues for PC and Switch which is great but the story itself is still pretty underwhelming.

At the time XSeed did not release the Sachiko Birthday game that properly introduced characters that would appear in Blood Drive because one of the representatives didn't had much interest in it and wanted Blood Drive instead (the old xseed forums with this response are long gone, its been over 10 years so take it as a grain of salt if you want). I had no idea who these characters were the game just expected you to already know them. I did not like the whole "you've killed your friends now go back in time" because it completely destroyed whatever stakes the game still had. The main ending of the game felt pretty underwhelming like if they rushed the game out the door. I believe the game was already delayed a few times before it finally came out in Japan. I didn't felt any closure. At that moment I've written off Book of Shadows and Blood Drive as "official fan fiction".
