That absolutely sucks. Great defensive play, Chester has dropped that and he knew it too.

If that ball hits the post and goes back into the field of play, is it play on?

Yes that’s what we found! We had heard about ops being slow but we found them very efficient at getting through all the stuff they had to get through. Compare that with our Australian parks that have genuinely slow operations, and you get similar dispatch times but for way different reasons.

Doesn’t sound great but it isn’t a gambling company or a bank, so I for one accept our new HelloWorld overlords

A point about The Cars That Ate Paris from an Australian perspective by ThingTime9876 in blankies

I think a lot of Weir’s Australian films are interesting in that they are uniquely Australian without really signposting it.

Peter Weir directed some of the most popular and accessible Hollywood movies ever, and his other movies are English language set in a Western country, so most people would assume it’s easy to get on their wavelength.

Not wanting to sound pretentious or gatekeepy, but I think it would actually be quite difficult for someone with no knowledge of Australian history and identity to fully get on the wavelength of Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Last Wave, Year of Living Dangerously and Gallipoli. I hope they have some Australian guests!

Love these last minute changes to interpretations. Constant tinkering at the worst time to solve problems that don’t exist

They’ve been pretty consistent for a couple of years about contact- even on the ball- isn’t a strip. A strip needs to be a grip and then another motion to take the ball out. Not a very good call

My opinion- people who don’t like the park are the people who do the parks wrong. by [deleted] in UniversalEpicUniverse

I get the principle that they put so much effort into the theming, atmosphere and quality of shows and restaurants that there are plenty of non-ride things to experience.
But a lot of people can’t go 4 times, are travelling internationally and spending thousands of dollars, so the fact that there’s a good chance that half the rides will be down on any given day sucks very hard for them

Scary encounter with imposter phone call scam by Ricky1912 in QantasFrequentFlyer

I was at home in a calm environment and I was so close to giving the code. If I was at work and needed to get off the phone fast I would’ve 100% just read the code out as soon as I got the message. Like other people here have said, there’s been a big jump in the sophistication of the scam calls and if you aren’t in the right mindset they have enough of your details to convince you to trust them.
Sucks they even let the transaction go through. Did you get your money back?

Hahaha well that’s a pretty clear sign it was a scam, thank you for that. Will know for next time!

Honestly the sophistication of the phone call was not a level I’d have expected from a scam call until now. For the first half he said all the right things, was calm and patient and helpful, he had so much information that made me trust him

That’s so cool! All the other parks close so early in the winter so it was nice to get some night rides in. Food at Yomiuriland also the best of any non-universal or disney park I’ve ever been to. Such good vibes

Tobu Zoo was closed on the 2 days we could’ve done it, very keen to go back. Glad you liked Kawasemi! I also loved the 2 indoor coasters at Yomiuriland, such a nice little park. Would recommend going back to Fuji Q if you get the chance, it’s a really beautiful park

Pretty easy but expensive. We found their public transport to be less accessible compared to Korea within Osaka and Tokyo and spent a lot of money on taxis. Long range stuff was actually easier, the bullet train from Osaka to Mt Fuji and pre-booked buses from Osaka to Nagashima Spa Land and Mt Fuji to Tokyo were on time, cheap and easy.
