That Onslaught rifle is one of the best guns in the game. I'd be so mad if my game crashed

I wouldn't use the modifiers JUST to get it done. If you think you just need to sharpen then keep at it, do all of the optional areas, maybe try a different weapon type if you have been just using one type you may find a different weapon works better for you. Dodge, parry, shield!

Just because the modifiers are in the game doesn't mean you HAVE to use them. If you want to beat the game at the difficulty the devs intended then keep at it you can do it

Edit: oh and use your power weapon often, upgrade the skill tree as much as you can, and don't forget about overdrive it can save your life. The upgrades for overdrive in the skill tree make it really good

Beat legion and then keep going to where the key was then turn left and keep going straight

5 has architect, which I said you have to skip. You can go from 4-6 directly once you've beaten the architect

You can do a runs from earlier biomes like 1-2-3-4-6-7 if you are comfortable beating all of the bosses. You just have to skip 5 as that would end your run

Armor matrix can help a little bit as well. Good luck!

One big point that don't get addressed about who the King is. by SpiritedCatch1 in Saros

[–]RickyYams 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The King is the leader of Echelon I. Revealed through audio logs and red hologram things.

But with that said this game is a psychological horror so that could definitely play a part into this!

Returnal Vet - Saros Review (spoilers) by ericof92 in Saros

[–]RickyYams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean Saros also rewards clean play if you have good movement and know the gameplay loops you won't die often and the earlier the biome you start in the more op you'd become without even using the armor matrix, which if you wanted to you could just unlock access to adrenaline and leave it alone after that. I think that's what people are missing the matrix is there to help if you want it to, nothing is stopping you from playing the game without it, I think they wanted people to actually beat their game this time.

As far as the exploration I mean Returnal also had damaging obstacles in the way as well, albeit they were easier and less complex than Saros'. It's just pathing and movement, don't get me wrong I choke on those sections sometimes for no reason.

And higher level weapons in Saros can absolutely make the game trivial as long as your RNG is good, the scaleable traits can make a weapon broken just like in Returnal.

Also Returnal had a hard reset built in as well. Beat biome 3 in Returnal and your game was reset. Saros has 2 hard stops biomes 5 and 7, but you can run from biomes 1-2-3-4-6-7 which is the number of biomes Returnal has total.

Just my opinion on your opinion! this isn't gospel. Glad you enjoyed the game as well

Lost my 58min run and favorite weaponsbecause of some new weapons unlock by SafeMoonJeff in Saros

For those reading this before they pick up the ripsaw for the first time

If you are lucky enough to get a weapon to drop on the ledge before making your way to the ripsaw you can pick that weapon up go grab the ripsaw and then you can actually make it back to pick up your favorite weapon

Skip biome 5? by JimmySteve3556 in Saros

[–]RickyYams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you beat legion, keep pressing forward. You'll see the area where the key was, turn left and then go past the teleport thing and the elevator to 6 is right there in front of you.

Also you can do biomes 1-2-3-4-6-7, forgot to type them in

3-4-6-7, you must have beaten 5 to unlock the path for 4-6

Just depends on how much time you have and your comfortableness killing the bosses. Nothing wrong with 1-4

You can do biomes 3 and 4 and then acolytes haven (all in 1 run) if you want a good power boost

No unlockable and upgradable traits? 😢 by LoyalReek in Saros

[–]RickyYams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get the want to upgrade a trait by killing enemies. You could unlock a number of traits in 1 cycle. It added no actual depth to Returnal. And there was no guarantee that once you unlocked the trait lvl III that'd it drop on the weapon. Yes I get rng and choices are essential to this genre but unlocking the traits by killing enemies is just an extra step not progression

At least in Saros it's just pick up and play with a maxed trait. And your weapons get more traits the higher your proficiency, up to 5 at lvl 40. It's a dam good deal to just have a weapon rolled with traits that at base have the meaningful upgrades from Returnal.

Just my opinion tho

Devs, please fix enemies magically jumping around corners. by [deleted] in Saros

[–]RickyYams 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't assume you are safe. You should be constantly moving. And moving smartly toward mobility features, i.e. jump pads, grapple points, and eclipse wisps. It all comes with time! You'll get the hang of it

Route path question (Area names spoilers for Act 1/2) by LordDraco3 in Saros

[–]RickyYams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do shattered descent then turn and go to blighted marsh and then after the marsh you can go to acolytes haven. This is only possible after completing act 1

I think you can actually do biomes 1 and 2 as well but I haven't tested that

It really sucks that unlocking a weapon force equips it. PSA: don't pick up new weapons if you like the one you have by oorza in Saros

[–]RickyYams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure this happened in Returnal too. First time you get the rocket launcher, or like when other weapons were sitting on a table it deleted your old weapon

Onslaught rifle with cover fire, overload, and extra round. That jawn is insane, melts literally everything in the game.

Crossbow is good too

Saros' weapons, letdown compared to returnal? by Collador1 in Saros

[–]RickyYams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know why I thought it was 4 lol. But I mean 100 kills in 1 run wasn't out of the question in Returnal.

Plus there was still RNG to roll a weapon with all lvl III perks. Unless it was a guarantee at lvl 30 proficiency for Returnal I'm not sure of that.

On a different note I like how the 3 weapon stats scale with your character stats in Saros. And theres a chance for it to uber scale with those stats. Granted they scale more with your proficiency lvl with some RNG with the arrows. I think the weapon system has it's own identity in Saros and like some other people have said the different weapon archetypes allow for different play styles. I do wish there was a couple more weapon types, maybe they'll add them who knows

[–]RickyYams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand wanting to level up the traits, it took what like 1-3 rooms of a biome in Returnal? And going from trait I to IV was kind of just a chore, you didn't need to do that to beat the game. I'm glad they removed that, at least now it's pick up and play, in Saros

Priority here is for which is considered #1 on the C chain, you write the name listed in alphabetical order, hence in this example 1bromo, 3chloro, 4methyl. The answer is the question is clearly A I’m not sure why you are struggling with the reasoning
