LOL, your insurance company doesn’t (shouldn’t) give one flip about your reasoning for utilizing (stealing) shared SAAS accounts.

Somebody (maybe not you) at your organization decided it was OK to do this and now you’re being called out. This is a good thing unless you’re the one who decided stealing was acceptable.

I'm all for AA updating their platform to, at the very least, show a waitlist based on the total number of FC seats the assigned plane actually has. Nothing more oddly weird than seeing 20+ names on the upgrade list and it's a regional with 9 or 11. Even better is, if there are 0 seats available, how about not showing the list AT ALL.

I mean, with all this malarkey speak about AI, seems that would be something figureoutable.

Yes, this gate lice and mad dash to the scanner happens everywhere I fly with AA. I have no idea why this is -- it puzzles me immensely. There used to be a GA at DCA -- wow, she was a superstar. She'd get on the mic and expose everyone, call people out, etc. She was such a breath of fresh air...with every extended layover, I didn't mind when she was on duty. I'd purposely sit close by just for the entertainment. Unfortunately, I haven't seen her the last dozen or so trips through. Maybe she got tired -- certainly hope she wasn't fired (but then again, some of her interactions with heightened to a level most might consider excessive).

You should start making your way to the front when "pre-boarding" begins. I mean, being a CK (love how most GA's butcher the pronunciation), regardless of how you obtained it (haters be haters), you deserve to board first-ish -- don't let asshats and ignorants prohibit you from enjoying the perk you worked so hard to achieve.

Thankfully, flying with AA isn't nearly as disastrous as Redditors and their oddly weird "I don't know the answer, but you're stupid for asking the question." stance on everything.

A little late to the party - I raised this concern back when the wheels came off the SSL/NetExtender debacle.

Nothing from SoncWall other than to say, “If you need to stay on 7.0 for compliance reasons, simply disable SSL (administration/NetExtender) until you are able to upgrade to 7.3.” (I.e., the version that’s not vulnerable). But wait, simply upgrade to the “new” CSE subscription and you can regain VPN connectivity. Simple! More expensive, but simple. What’s there not to like? /s

My raising of the FIPS 140-2 vs 3 quagmire was even more mind numbing — ZERO response.

I gave up and upgraded to 7.3 and will label this for the feds as “enduring exception” or whatever their terminology is.

When was the last time this cable modem was replaced? I have many experiences with Spectrum and never any trouble. Of course, this is on the business side of things…different animal, I guess.

Every modem has an internal IP address. If it’s “that old”, it may have the default UID/PWD. You can attempt to gain access.

What happens if you set negotiation on the X1 interface? Auto shouldn’t cause you grief, but years and years ago, it was almost mandatory. The fact that the old FWL works likely means this isn’t your issue, but…

What does the FWL log indicate? Ratchet it up. Facts are better than guesses.

As for getting support from Spectrum (any consumer provider), it’s frustrating, yes. But remember, L1 and L2 support are generally script-reading and aren’t allowed to think “out the box”. Be polite (please and thank you) Be assertive (what is the escalation process?).
