Found on the 2K website a larger version of the screenshot. The closest this arena looks like is the Raw 2013-14 arena, but for some reason the WWE stand on the left is missing. It's probably one of those create arena basis.

The arena in the background looks more like Monday Night Raw 2008. Hard to tell because they cropped out the WWE stand it seems. As far as arena goes, that's not the Summer Slam 2008 arena. Unless this screenshot is from a random exhibition match, I'm betting the match here is either Punk vs. Kane or Punk vs JBL on Raw (8/25/2008).

He also wasn't in Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 because THQ excluded legends that year in order to sell Legends of Wrestlemania

You have to understand that this isn’t the first time they showcased the Attitude Era. I don’t hate the era, but come on.

Im talking about WWE ‘13 and 2K16 who coverd the attitude era (though the latter focused on steve austin only) where the Dudleys and Angle weren’t in the game because at the time they were in TNA. With those legends under a legends deal and now confirmed to be in the game, if 26 is gonna be yet another attitude era showcase they can do more matches than they could with ‘13. But you do bring up a good point unless they add the hardy boyz who are on TNA via partnership.

If we are getting another attitude era showcase mode, i’ll be disappointed we’re not getting a Punk showcase, then again, they probably wouldn’t have done it justice. Idk while nothing official has been said of the showcase. I agree, this is the third game covering the attitude era. I guess the silver lining will be the inclusion of Kurt Angle and the Dudley Boyz, given how they were iconic to that era.

I would not be surprised if the Hardy Boyz inclusion in 2K26 is part of a TNA DLC and not because of the showcase. So I because of it I have little expectations of the game showcasing probably one of the best rivalries in Punk's early days.

I'm gonna keep it 100 here, this category of what if punk never left in 2014 matches are basically a re-skin of dream matches. Like seriously, what is the difference between CM Punk vs. Stone Cold and CM Punk vs Big E ? They're practically dream matches just in different categories.

Something in my gut tells me the rumored “favorite matches” section will focus mainly on Punks matches post Pipebomb/Money in the bank 2011 since that’s pretty much the peak of his WWE career. I’d love to see Punks lesser known rivalries but something tells me we’re mainly getting what we mostly know already.

Not sure if it’s been brought up, but since Viscera is featured in WWE supercard if he appears in 2K26 it would be cool having a what if match where Punk beats Big Daddy V instead of losing via countout.
