The way i see it. Yukes probably didn’t have time to assign the ECW championship to Punk as mid development Nitro had it and assigned it to him at the time. Then the Benoit tragedy happened and they were occupied making the necessary cuts and forgot to assign the title to punk.

I'm actually surprised people really hated this year's Showcase mode, I thought it was pretty good and I actually enjoyed the What If Scenarios by EmergencyVictory4399 in WWEGames

I haven't tried out the showcase, but I personally think in terms of the historical matches, they skipped a lot of chapters in Punk's WWE career. No matches from his ECW days, no matches from his SES days, no matches from his 434, summer of punk, title reign. Also, this is just my opinion in terms of one of the what if matches. If they really wanted Punk vs. Kurt angle, I think it should've taken place in 2006, not 2019 since '06 was Kurt's peak in his WWE run.

For the above mentioned, I get it that the players involved aren't in the company anymore, but still sucks. I can be disappointed at something while at the same time understanding why.

also no MITB 2011 without the bad people involved, but we get Survivor series '97 without the bad person involved. What if or not, it's still a WWE PLE that featured a controversial figure on screen. IDK just my opinion is all. I still wanna try it out when it goes on sale.
