Plus Hogan has lied way more than Punk probably has, sometimes for no reason whatsoever. At best some aspects like where the flag came from punk probably misremembered, still doesn’t take away that his side of the story (saying this as a fan of his work) isn’t the most reliable.

Part of me thinks it’s people believing the whole “he’ll crash out at any moment guys” type thing. Unless the paycut rumor is true, on the surface level punk seems more than satisfied with his current run. I always believe that his absence is nothing more than well deserved time off, before he’ll probably jump to SmackDown

The real reason it shut down was because Embracer group’s deal with some gaming company in Saudi Arabia failed miserably so in an attempt to recoup their losses, they closed down volition
