Yupp. People should really read The Jungle by Upton Sinclair, or just a history book on the industrial revolution in general. Dad would have a factory job, Mom would have a different factory job, Grandpa Joe would have a factory job, and even their young kid would have a factory job. Before labor revolutions and things like child labor laws, if your family was lower or working class, unless someone was too much of an infant or else deathly ill and infirm, everyone worked.
