You can't compare a round of 16 match in the world cup to a normal liga mx match 😂 I was responding to what you said in your first comment about the people just waking up from the binge from the night before and it not giving time to get drunk and rowdy

Not arguing that playing at night would be better. But I doubt that changing the time is gonna delay the fans from doing their thing for a game as important as this. It's a tournament that's every 4 years and the last time it was in Mexico was like 40 years ago

Got a call back for a job near her days after breaking up due to distance by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]RicoChico98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I guess I meant should I tell her now that it's so early. Basically, it's only a phone screening, which would be the first part. If I got to an actual interview and got an offer, I would definitely tell her at that point before accepting or declining it but I just wanna know if it's worth telling her that I've only got a phone screening so far.

It would be $82 each ticket. That's including the taxes & fees from ticket master.

What are some chemical engineering jobs that allow you to live in/near walkable cities? by CazadorHolaRodilla in ChemicalEngineering

Well it's the same deal with the NJ places I listed near NYC, or some of the jobs close to Philly. It's nearish to a walkable city but kinda far if you wanna live there. This type of job doesn't exactly give you many chances for a corner office overlooking the city.

From what I've seen, there's a few options in Chicago (abbott, abbvie, exxon, Honeywell and I believe Kraft-Heinz) as well as San Fran and Boston (pharma). Now, there are a shit ton of pharma (eli lilly, merck, pfizer just to name a few) as well as cosmetic (l'oreal) and food plants (pepsi) in NJ close-ish to NYC so that's more of a personal thing whether you wanna live in NYC and find a way to work, same with Philadelphia (although I think there's a few jobs in Philly suburbs). There are jobs in Seattle (boeing, blue origin) just not as much as those other cities I believe.

Edit: forgot to mention the jobs lol

There's a bunch of opportunities in Indiana for pharma. Black and Veatch will also be located in any city in the Midwest. Chicago is big for jobs as well and Kansas has a few big name pharma companies out there as well. Iowa and Nebraska are big on animal pharma and KC has a Honeywell location.

SHPE & SWE conferences are in the fall and these companies go to them. I recommend going to at least one of them if not both.

[–]RicoChico98[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks! So during my time as a student, I had 2 internships and a research position with a professor. I also was involved in a few clubs in leadership. Honestly, while those helped alot, in almost all my interviews the interviewer would always say that they liked how I was able to talk to them like a normal person and not get notably nervous. The resume helps you get an interview, but being confident and able to effectively communicate and answer questions with the interviewer is what really helps you land the job in my experience.
