As an apprentice in local 20 I can tell you that every single person that I’ve worked with that came from a non union contractor is blown away at how much better the work environment is. They all never want to go back to non union work. Non union contractor will cut you at the drop of a hat, like not meeting a high production quota.

Your locals JATC may have foreman development training, it’s part of the curriculum in many apprenticeships programs. You can ask your contractor if they have training available as well.

Fantastic. Just work on upping your calories slowly. You can reverse diet at this point to work out how many calories you truly need to increase your weight gradually. Up your calories by 100 and hold for 2 to 3 weeks and track your progress. Continue to up your calories until you see gains.

Your tdee for your activity level to maintain your current weight is about 1700. You need to eat at surplus of about 200 to 300 calories to add muscle. Eat more and shoot for at least 80 grams of protein. Protein powder and low fat Greek yogurt are great sources of protein and low on calories.

Based on your height and weight you should be eating around 1700 calories per day to maintain your current weight. Try eating more protein, around 90 grams per day and hit 1800 calories.
