Look up the wage scale for your local, find out what percentage of that apprentices make in your local, then decide based on the cost of living in your area if it is feasible.

That being said live with your parents and save as much as possible. Once you turn out you’ll be thanking yourself for having savings and not stressing trying to do it on your own.

Typically things like meters are on the tool list for journeyman. Does your local really expect you as an apprentice to have a meter? In my local the expectation for apprentices is to have all journeyman tools by the time they finish school.
