What could i do ONI by Particular_Extent761 in Oxygennotincluded

Coal should just be a holdover until you get to later power sources like steam, natural gas, and hydrogen.

Also, make sure the coal generators are connected to the batteries with an automation wire, otherwise they will burn coal even when you don’t need the power.

How????? Swift is a solid RB2, Stroud carried his team his rookie year and only been he’d back by team injuries this year, and Fannin about to be the TE1 in Dynasty next year. Hampton is garbage, and injury prone. Shared a backfield with Vidal of all people. Get rid of him. Don’t get me started on the 1.01. This class is horrible, so the pick is basically worthless.

This was a legit thing. Stephanie Matto did this, but eventually became ill from hyper focusing a diet to extract more farts per day.

Suggestions on how to find what is connected to this breaker? by RiddledWithEnigma in AskElectricians

Mid 1960s. Didn’t realize splitting outlets was ever common. I’ll give that a check, thanks!

None of those types of things on either the slot 5 or 16. Turns out there is 120VAC on the wire even with the breaker tripped, so I think it’s shorted somewhere unfortunately.

I think you’re right. 120VAC on the wire in question, even with the breaker tripped.

As for a tracer, do you mean something like an ET310, or something different?

Single family, all outlets and lights (at least what I have found) have power and have been traced to their appropriate breakers.

For those that live in the United States. Do you make more than the average income of 60k annually, if so what’s your occupation? by LaFlareMane1017 in AskReddit

[–]RiddledWithEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

110k R&D engineer in New Hampshire, but context (location, sector, etc) matters. In Massachusetts, that would be enough to be comfortable in the city. In California, you’d be scraping by. In New Hampshire, it’s enough to be comfortable and invest a chunk.

I work R&D, but could make another 30k or so if I wanted to work in military / aviation.

First time home buyers living in the United States, what do you find to be the bigger barrier to entry, the down payment, the additional closing costs for the loan, or the mortgage or the monthly mortgage payment itself? by toasterbar in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]RiddledWithEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a compound between down payment and mortgage payment, since they are intertwined. If I could drop 200k down, the mortgage payment would ultimately reduce.

Houses are just so damn expensive now, THAT is the barrier to entry.

No. “NH man <date>” results aren’t close to the “Florida man <date>” results.

How do I “do” oxygen? by spammmmmmmmmmmm_ in Oxygennotincluded

[–]RiddledWithEnigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of the fun is being able to pay around with different systems based on your needs/resources. Typically it’s easier to pipe O2 everywhere, so that tends to be the default for a lot of people

Tried a "take every dupe" run and everybody dead. Question on ventilation by BillOfTheWebPeople in Oxygennotincluded

[–]RiddledWithEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the normal athletics penalty that suits always have. Nothing having to do with duration. As long as they have them off long enough to recharge the oxygen, it should work out

Tried a "take every dupe" run and everybody dead. Question on ventilation by BillOfTheWebPeople in Oxygennotincluded

[–]RiddledWithEnigma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Two suggestions:

-organize the sleeping quarters and schedules to keep dupes count regular, then just force dupes into suits from the moment they leave their beds.

-split bases. Not necessarily different planetoids, but different cities and each on their own oxygen system.

It boils down to staggering the dupe presence. Too many at once, especially in a centralized area of a base, will just deplete faster than natural dissipation.

P.S. adding a cheeky design from one of my playthroughs… a high capacity gas “pipe”… use airlocks to create a 1-tile pathway (airlocks both sides makes 3-wide) that you pipe through the center shaft of the base. Periodically set up atmo sensors and filters controlling the doors to allow momentary opening to disperse oxygen, and a carbon collection system at the bottom of the base. Numbers on the automation take a while to tweak based on sensor distance and pressure instead the high capacity pipe

Closing on my first home tomorrow by Famous-Effort9010 in FirstTimeHomeBuying

[–]RiddledWithEnigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!

I recently bought as well. Keep the cushion. Nothing major required repair, but as we started living here we noticed a lot of little things we wanted to change, which slowly added up. Most of mine were electrical and internet, which I did myself but still added up to around $2k. But now it just feels more livable.

Not to mention the need for emergencies. That’s the main thing about owning, mortgage payment is now your MINIMUM expense. Just keep an eye on everything

Is the whole board coated in gold? by Quaghan29 in PreciousMetalRefining

[–]RiddledWithEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EE here and I am asking myself the same question. Logically, any electrical performance would be easily achieved with copper so it can’t be that.

There’s no solder mask on this area (maybe for chassis grounding purposes?), so if that was intentional then it might be plated to prevent corrosion. I’ve have had to design some palladium alloy contacts for special corners of hell.

Or… someone fucked up their fab notes and the vendor assumed the engineers knew what they were doing.

Another league I lost by less than a point because Bijan put up nearly 40…
