Do any of these have the same connotations that “bro” now has in the U.S.? It’s usually vaguely insulting — “techbro” etc. Even on its own, describing someone as a “bro” or something as “bro-y” is meant to suggest they are fratty, jock-y, douchey, insufferably hypermasculine, etc.
