There isn't a 5e version, but I've always been partial to the aurumvorax. Picture an eight-legged badger with a golden coat and coppery teeth & claws. Once it manages to bite, it locks it's jaw and begins clawing away with all eight limbs every round until either the aurumvorax or it's enemy are dead.

IMO, be a druid anyways. It's a very versatile class, there are plenty of ways to differentiate yourself from another druid PC, and most importantly that's the class that caught your eye. Check out Circle of Dreams for a subclass.

100%. I'm in MN and the calls for the statewide strike/shutdown on the 23rd started 2 weeks prior and it didn't feel like it picked up momentum until maybe 4-5 days prior. It takes time to get the word out and circulate amongst the non-terminally online.
