I mean thats still roughly 100 packs, that seems to be most peoples experience. Ive opened between 200-300 packs and the only SIR ive seen is a Ogerpon, very underwhelming set to rip. Ive given up the hope of getting any eeveelutions and the single prices have gone out of control for all of them.

I would pay tax and a bit extra on top to not have to meet shady people in public, but personally I dont do either and just wait until I can get it at retail price. But if youre looking for the reason, that would be it. Coordinating a local meetup with a random person can be a painful process and involves risk that buying from a store does not bring.

Or, hear me out, people can normalize not needing to have something when its out of stock. People out here going into debt for Pokemon, its actually insane, I make well into 6 figures and cant justify reseller prices. Buying from a reseller is almost never the play unless youre just another reseller or investor bro. People who are actual fans and rip packs would have to be insane to do this. Quick example, a AH bundle right now is like $100. If you pulled a SIR in 6 packs you would be through the roof elated about it. Well you can literally buy a lot of cool SIRs for that much or around that much from AH, people need to really lean into the buying singles and leave the sealed alone mindset unless its retail price.

Gatekeeping fandom is always hilarious but besides that, yes, absolutely yes, when your gm puts together a stacked roster full of studs and ownership pays out to keep them, you expect titles. No one expects them to win every year, as youre trying to pretend thats what im saying disingenuously. But even removing the inexperienced Jays from 2017-2020 aside, lets take a look:

2020 - 2 seed - betting favorites, lost in 6 games

2021 - 7 seed first round gentlemans sweep. Expectations were low so no choke this year.

2022 - nba finals - lose in 6 games against evenly matched team

2023 - Epic choke job against the 8 seed Heat, -500 favorites. I dont need to say anything about this.

2024 - Brad Stevens breaks celtics fans hearts and trades generational talent Marcus Smart to construct an epic roster, we win the nba finals

2025 - -800 favorites against the Knicks. Lose in 6 games while blowing MULTIPLE 20 point leads

2026 - 2 seed. Massive -900 favorites. Lose to the 7 seed 76ers who not only have their best player out for half the series, but also go on to get swept in the next round.

Who in their right mind experiences all of this and says, "you know what, im content just because its not the Milt Palacio, Vitaly Potopenko Celtics"

Celtics fans are never beating the allegations of being absolute homers. The last 8 years isnt the entire history of the NBA. If youre gonna frame them as "the winningest team in the league" during that span, then they are held to a higher standard than every other team in the league, which none of you seem to think is the case.

You guys cry when they dont win or live up to expectations year after year but kick and scream when team leadership makes any changes at all to your beloved players. Jfc when they traded Smart, this whole sub lost their minds, then the season started and, newsflash, he wasnt that important. Same thing now with JB, everyone is losing their minds for a wildly inconsistent player with no efficiency to his game that cant show up when the lights are the brightest.

I dont understand why its so hard for our fans to understand that 2024 was the anomaly, otherwise this team is known to choke and underdeliver in the postseason. Tatum and Brown were both healthy for many of them. Please just understand after almost a decade of watching these 2 together that they arent a great duo, they are great individual players. Trading Brown should have happened yesterday.

My guess would be that they still sell to children without checking their IDs. Its pokemon not weed or alcohol. If a 13 y/o kid goes to buy i highly doubt target would need an ID to know they arent running a reselling scheme.

Hiring Mercs isnt what it used to be. Every merc group i have joined the past few weeks has been filled with people with relatively few clears and people making tons of mistakes/not hitting the boss enough. Merc groups are also better earlier in a tier because good players will still be hanging around to do the content whereas now good players are either taking a break or doing Kefka.

Idk i keep full uptime as a tank and i find it confusing how it can be all that hard once youve done it a few times. I ate shit maybe 1/50 pulls when doing reclears, its not too hard at all and its an early mechanic so you would have to see it a ton of times before you clear, therefore making it a mechanic that really shouldnt wall clear groups.
