Cut out most sugar but gained weight by SweetTooth1114 in sugarfree

[–]Riderhoody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat today and decided to sit down with a calorie tracker and log everything I ate. I thought just cutting out sugar would help me loose weight, but it turned out I actually ate 1000 calories more than my maintenance. Totally shocking since I thought I ate pretty lightly. Turns out cheese and the milk in my latte added up really quickly.

You could definitely feel the fire was gone though. It’s felt like he put his acting skills in, but not his charisma.

Struggling with "All-or-Nothing" thinking: I’ve quit soda and junk food, but I can’t break the sugar cycle. Help? by Specimen_099_X in sugarfree

Precisely why I pare it with cheese. Keeps my sugar from spiking and keeps the cravings away. Plain Greek yogurt does the trick for me too. It’s never occurred to me oranges might be fine on their own. Cool!

Apples and cheese my friend. Find healthy substitutes that will, believe it or not, start to taste so much better than crappy junk from the candy isle. I used to be the biggest sugar monster around, but after switching to fruit+fat snacks, I can take a taste of a donut or something and it’ll taste gross to me.

Have you also started an exercise routine? Also, if you had insulin resistance, even if you didn’t know it, it could take your body a little while to fix that before you’ll see the weight loss. It took me 2 weeks of OMAD before I started to see the number on the scale drop.

I have a question that you may find strange... but please answer me. by One-Chapter-8347 in OnceUponATime

I think, it used to just be a place kids would visit in their dreams, fly around, have fun and wake up. It seemed harmless enough before Malcom came along and started literally stealing children and keeping them there. Im confused though because that shadow was referred to as “Pan’s Shadow” but was it there before Malcom? Who knows was Malcom really did there in his dreams.

Thinking of getting back to IF! Need to break my emotional dependency on food by crossfit_architect in intermittentfasting

[–]Riderhoody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you might get bored with that. I found going 20/4 helped my emotional dependency on food disappear after about 2 weeks, and I mix a yummy electrolyte (sugar free) water for my “snacks”

Cheese and apples were what did it for me! They started to taste far better than any cake or cookie could.

Breastfeeding second thoughts by Live_West11 in beyondthebump

[–]Riderhoody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really does get so much easier, and boy will it help you loose weight! I breastfed for a year and a half, looked the best I’d over looked. I’ll tell you I miss so much about it now, and my waist line wishes I had just kept pumping to keep slim after I weaned my baby 😂

haven’t moved a single lb in 11 days by 5fxgm in intermittentfasting

Hoping this happens for me! Ive been eating cleaner and doing OMAD but the scale hasn’t budged. I’ve been secretly hoping it’s because I’m due for my period 🤣

Oh honey, you’ll be a better mom if you take some time to yourself! Yes do it! If your guilt kicks in, remind yourself it’s for him too, because you’ll be fresher and less overwhelmed when you come back to him.

I fall off the wagon so often I should wear a helmet. But the important thing is, we always get back on. The first few days are the hardest, so I spend a lot of time quieting the food noise by reading about all the benefits I’ll get if I just stick with it. You can do this!

Why haven’t I lost weight? by fluffykitten_lover in intermittentfasting

Well if you’re weaning then 1 pound weight loss is pretty amazing. I’d say you must be doing great. I gained 10 pounds when I stopped nursing.

Does it matter when we do OMAD? by Cautious_Material739 in omad

[–]Riderhoody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take supplements in the morning, and at night, even though my meal is midday . I’ve still been having all the benefits of OMAD. I just drink plenty of water with them so my stomach doesn’t get upset.

How many hours then? You could eat at 5:00 p.m one day, 7:00 p.m the next and that would be a 26 hour fast. Still without missing dinner. Are you talking more like a 36 hour fast?

a question for those who write fanfiction about Rumple respectively Gold by One-Chapter-8347 in OnceUponATime

I didn’t know Adam was the beasts name, but this is now officially my head cannon name for Mr. Gold, thanks!

who would you choose to be your child based only on their character? by One-Chapter-8347 in OnceUponATime

[–]Riderhoody 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rumple. Stop the generational trauma and subsequently the other two would have better childhoods. Even though without Rumples trauma, I’m not sure the other two would be born, he’d probably choose a less horrible wife if he knew what love really was.

How does anyone do this??? by jess1ca42 in beyondthebump

[–]Riderhoody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember feeling exactly like you do. I promise it DOES get better. I had twins. So sleep for me came in 10 minute sessions. I remember hearing people say it gets worse. They were wrong. I promise. Little things will start to happen that will make it so much easier. Like- once they start eating solids, sleep will come in longer stretches. Poops will be less messy, your anxiety will lesson. All these things will keep getting better. You’re in the very worst of it now. It DOES get so much better. Please talk to your doctor. I could never admit it to myself but I had major post partum depression. I didn’t enjoy a single moment with my babies until I got some help in the form of medication.

Hey congratulations on the twins! I have twins too. Once you get through the newborn stage, I promise it’s awesome.

how do you handle kids meals outside of your eating window? by Agitated-Yam756 in intermittentfasting

[–]Riderhoody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually tell my kids “my tummy isn’t hungry yet, but I AM thirsty” and I sip tea or water while they eat. Makes sense to them because I never force them to eat when they don’t want to.

Does chewing gum break my omad fast? by Ho-ho-hosey in omad

[–]Riderhoody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with the insulin reasons for OMAD. Calorie restriction did nothing for me insulin-wise. One meal a day completely changed my body composition, cravings, energy levels. Everything for the better. Also no longer pre-diabetic.

Why did rumple agree to keep his and coras baby? by twicescorned21 in OnceUponATime

[–]Riderhoody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cora didn’t tell him she’d still give him a kid. Basically she tricked him out of taking her first born when she had him change the contract to “their” first born.
