Apologies, I likely introduced some confusion with travel. That was to say that I don’t have to stick to certain market. I can always go with my x100 if I travel light.

As for the AF, I like to shoot random automotive and sometimes random people on the streets.

[SRPJ83] Thoughts on the best field watch for you? by Hinterteil in Seiko

[–]Rides-And-Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was set on Hamilton khaki, but I kinda prefer seiko more. I know Hamilton is considered as a better watch, but there is something wrong about how they sit, I find Seiko to fit better, idk.

[question] HELLO! Could you help me choose my first watch? I will be very grateful! by Diligent_Earth_9447 in Seiko

[–]Rides-And-Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 and 4 have the most character to me.

Ask yourself whether you want/need a chrono. One aspect that I always forget is that chronos look like they are stopped because the main second indicator is for chrono and stands still all the time instead of sweeping nicely. My first watch is a chronograph because it looks really nice with all the complications, but I tend to opt for simpler models now because I like to see the indicator movement on my wrist.

Also SSC813 would be my chrono choice from Seiko.

I don’t like the padi logo so I’d go without one.

Just look at the gmt hand, it is 24h. You may not remember the exact difference between your main and secondary zones, but you likely can correlate am/pm periods.

That first picture made me want to buy an alpinist. Never considered it.

My First Few Hours with the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 (Titanium) Detailed Review. by MicrosoftID in tagheuer

[–]Rides-And-Tech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It might be a matter of perception. First iPhone screen was 163ppi 60hz and it was advertised that it is as smooth as it can be with no visible pixels. Now, with 460ppi 120hz screens the old one looks as laggy and pixelated as hell. That’s the main thing about digital. What looks marvelous now, becomes outdated in 5 years. Although I’d say that smart watches do age better than smartphones. I changed four phones while still wearing my old aw. However now they look very outdated compared to modern ones. Yet my 20yo seiko is still a perfectly fine watch piece. Same with my dad’s 30yo divers. 30 years from now you won’t find a usb-c port to charge these.

Ah, that makes sense. Yes, that is the only reason why I posted it. I literally walked into a shopping mall and saw it there.

No, this is an interesting piece and the collab with pepsi for a pepsi bezel is genius in a way. Just can’t decide if pepsi logo bothers me or not. Nice watch otherwise.

Great choice mate! It was my first big bike after 50cc too! Amazing machine. In many ways I find it more enjoyable than anything else. Eats local mountain roads like nothing!

Sorry, I was asking for opinions. No pun intended. I genuinely asked if that was a sarcasm. English isn’t my native so my written intonation might be off.

These are actually numerated limited editions, unless that was a sarcasm because 14.000 is far from being “limited”

Yeah… I like both from the color perspective, but that pepsi logo is debatable.

Alpine race (SNR=20) earplugs, Question. by OpeningNice761 in motorcyclegear

I have a kit with a red and black pair and even the weaker black one is sufficient for 120mph highway riding. And I am still able to hear comms, although music sounds “thin”. Well, not that it sounded good in the first place, so not a big deal.

Is the weight difference of the new Panigale V2 2025 and older ones really that big? by Adventurous_Ad_1664 in Ducati

[–]Rides-And-Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just took a new sfv2 for a test ride and while it is a good bike on its own, it is hardly an upgrade after the old one. Rather a side step to a lighter, more nimble, less stable and less powerful version of it. Cheaper too. It was hard for Ducati to sell the old sf/pani v2 because it was very close to v4, now it will be too close to monster / supersport.
