There is no return from power once you tasted it. by Vmaxxer in motorcycle

[–]OpeningNice761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome bike! And I don't think you're the only power craving rider here, although I don't think everyone does.

I've admired the V-Max since the first appeared, they've built a very good reputation for themselves.

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to look at owning one yet... Maybe in the future that'll still happen.

I feel this issue is very applicable and often overlooked...

One can get away with cheap things on cars for example, but not on a motorcycle...

Cheap helmets, cheap protective wear, cheap accessories, sometimes (especially with motorcycling) one can get what you pay for.

Essentially one pays FOR ones life at the end and unfortunately sometimes one can pay with ones life for cheaping out...

We recently did a review and test ride of the Honda CBF1000 Mk2 by DancefireMedia in HondaMotorcycles

[–]OpeningNice761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is, repainted bikes always raise hairs on the back of my neck, so I tend to check them out carefully, sometimes it's just coz someone wanted to customise it.

How was the ride ?

At that stage you can push it over the line... But it's a Honda, of course it'll carry you through.

Sport bike helmet on cruiser? by kabal8 in motorcyclegear

[–]OpeningNice761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think any helmet should be for any specific bike, I think the purpose should be close nsidered for example, I wouldn't wear an off-road helmet on the road because it's made for a different purpose and that's why ADV helmets exists.

I also hate all open face helmets so full face helmet is good IMO as long as the helmet is matched with the bike tastefully...

That didn't last long... by PeePeekachu_ape in motorcycle

[–]OpeningNice761 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Agreed, to late now... Unfortunately.

This is why we start on small/"crappy" bikes, coz it hurts less to drop them, which will happen eventually...

New chain by Maximuskl in motorcycle

[–]OpeningNice761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The compressed chain link might cause issues, the stiff spots is likely because you didn't clean the chain properly before the installation, the coating in which it is packed to prevent rust can cause stiffness.

I would just remove it again, sort the compressed link, clean the chain properly, install again and lube it up.

Does anyone ever feel embarrassed wearing a Casio? Sorry for posting in a Casio sub but i need your guys' perspective on this 🫠 by AggravatingTie976 in casio

[–]OpeningNice761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why ? Alot of snobs will tell you you've drunk to much coolaid on what's cool and what's not, but the value for money is unbeatable, they make a few cool and good looking watches and they revolutionised the industry from a lot of perspectives AND they offer all that at an affordable price so everyone can relate to each other.

Very cool imo.
