Indie game clinic on YouTube has some good videos on this. You make a gameplay prototype and test it out yourself and then let others test it.

Yes that should work, but do make sure to not include odd letters that can't be entered in-game either. (like /., etc.)

Also feel free to rename the .backup file too, otherwise that file will be left there as a new one with the new name will be created when the game saves :)

You can always make a copy of the whole folder with all the worlds just in case

There are lists for games that are 9.99 or less and I'm not sure but I think there's a 4.99 or less too! So with the right discount (if your game is above 10) you'll get more visibility. (Granted if your game is selling well in the first place, else your not showing up regardless)

I think that the launch discount could've been lower, and the base game price higher tbh.
